The location is superb as it is located in the quiet Taksim area. To get there, you need to walk down to a steep hill. That means you will need to climb the same hill when you leave.

The morning staff Ali works very hard to make sure guests are well served and comfortable during their stay. Both managers Orhan and Cengis are very helpful and informative about how to tour around Istanbul, the city's transportation, attractions etc

Breakfast is about half as diverse as in the picture. The bathroom had strong sewage smell, probably due to faulty installation of drainage pipes. If you are proposed an "upgrade" from the basement room on the basis that it's noisy, be aware that upper rooms might experience more noise from the busy street nearby. The basement window is only exposed to a quiet alley with stairs.

Təmizlikdən tutmuş səhər yeməyinin sunumu, personalın və adminstratorun qonaqlarına qarşı göstərdikləri nəciblik sözlə ifadə edilməyəcək qədər möhtəşəm idi. Düzdür otel 5 ulduz deyil, lakin göstərdikləri xidmət səviyyəsi qiymətlərə görə yetərincə qaneedici və gözəl idi. Qonaqarın otelə daha rahat gəlib çata bilmələri üçün öncədən qonaqlarını məlumatlandırmaları İstanbula ilk dəfə gələn birisi üçün həqiqətən də çox faydalı oldu. First of all, I wanna thank the hotel for the free room upgrade. The location was great and access to everything was easy. The breakfast was really worth the hotel fee. Now about the staff, Mr. Ali was very kind and helpful, especially for breakfast. Mr. Cengiz may seem a bit cold, but he had a big heart. And the last but not least, the manager of the hotel Mr. Orhan, was amazing, very warm and helpful, and also he surprised me when I found out that he can speak Farsi (Persian). Although it is a bit difficult for Iranians to access the hotel through Booking, but I definitely recommend it.

Located on a quieter street close to Taksim Square and the metro/funicular station for quick access to all the attractions. The Havaist bus stop for the airports is within walking distance, and a good market is a five minute walk away. Use of the washer, SIM card, and metro card is very convenient and generous. The entire staff is welcoming and helpful, and Ali is exceptionally friendly to make your stay special.

Nothing! Everything was perfect!

This was our second time staying at this hotel. We had such a great stay last year that when we returned to Istanbul we had to return to Mr Orhan. The location is super, very close to Taksim Square and the shopping street. Rooms are big and comfortable and came with kitchenette. Bed was extremely comfortable. Washer and dryer available for use. But what really stands out at Hotel Taksim Home are the staff and their helpfulness. They were able to accommodate us for early check in, provide us with Istanbul card and pocket WiFi, and we’re just wonderful. Also thank you to Mr Ali who served us a wonderful breakfast. When we return to Istanbul we will definitely stay here again and again!

The size of the room actually wasn't value for money ....the bathroom was too small specially the shower cabin.....

The breakfast was very good with a lot of variety and it was delicious ....and the location was very good near to taksim square and near to the transportation and MR. Orhan was very nice and give us Istanbul card it helped very much for transportation ....he is helpful man really ....he get used to ask us every day about our directions ....and guide us how we could go and it was really helped us......and he also talking Arabic ....it was easy to communicate together .

No complains as such. The breakfast offered is basic and could possibly be improved. But, this doesn't take away from the fact that the place is good value for money.

The location is perfect. Right off Taksim square and walkable distance from the HavaBus station (Airport Shuttle). Mr Orhan kept following up with me from the time i confirmed the booking and arranged for an early check-in as our flight arrived early in the morning. Both him and Mr Jengiz were always available to help with pointers and guidance on how to get around the city. They will even give you a transportation card upon request. The room was a decent size. Bedding was comfortable. Restrooms were clean. Overall i was very happy with our stay

Though usually calm, the street can be noisy from time to time.

The rooms are super clean and comfortable! The breakfast is more than enough for two, and all the essentials such as shampoo, slippers, towels, kettle, microwave, kitchen utensils, and iron are provided in the room. There is also a working AC, which will be helpful in the upcoming summer days. The hotel is ideally located; it is within walking distance to İstiklal and airport transportation, and at the same time, it is on a very safe street in Taksim. The staff is so helpful, and finally, the small treats in the room were also a very welcoming touch!

Room cleaniness can be improved

The hotel location is superb if you need to be in the center around Taksim. I initially booked a room on the ground floor, but got a free upgrade, which was super nice. The room is spacious for a budget hotel and has microwave, plates, a kettle. I was greeted by Cingishan (not sure about name spelling), who personally showed me the room and explained everything. I had a nice warm feeling staying in this hotel. The price included breakfast, which I would say is not common for this price range, so it was extra bonus for me. Overall if you travel on a budget, I totally recommend it.

There was quite a bit of street noise from vehicles and people sitting outside talking. Car, van and motorbike owners also have a habit of beeping their horns frequently, even during the night. I recommend you take earplugs for a good nights sleep. It would have been good to have a working electric socket close to the table or next to the bed for charging a phone (I shared the socket being used for the kettle during my stay). There were sockets in the headboard and one above the table but they didn't appear to work. It was only a minor inconvenience though.

The manager Orhan was a great communicator and sent advance messages on how to locate the hotel on arrival, what transport to use from the airport etc. Night manager Ali made me feel very welcome, even though I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night and later than expected. Orhan assisted with a Turkish SIM card and travel card for public transport around the city, which just needed topping up before use. He explained how and where to do this. I asked for cooking items (pots and pans) to be provided in the room because I have food intolerances and have to cook my own food, and these were provided. But for those without problems with food, a nice breakfast was provided with boiled egg, meats, olives, cheese, breads and jams, tea, coffee and juice. There were cereals and milk also available. I paid for a self catering room. The room and en suite bathroom were good and the bed was very comfortable. A microwave, 2 hot plates, fridge, kettle and hairdryer were provided. The hotel was walking distance to Tuplas Stadium (where I attended a music concert), and also close to the Metro, bus routes, Tramway and Funicular railway for getting around the city. Also there was a supermarket, restaurants, multiple food outlets, ATMs and many other types of shop in close proximity to the hotel. The room was cleaned daily and the bed made. Towels and sheets were changed every other day. Orhan, Ali and Ghengis were more than helpful and made me feel very comfortable during my stay. If I go back to Istanbul in future I would definately stay there again.

Small atmospheric hotel, friendly staff, especially the manager Orhan and Ali. Good transport accessibility: metro, bus and tram stops near the hotel. Quite a quiet place, the room was on the third floor with windows facing the courtyard. The room is clean, towels are changed daily. Breakfast is traditional Turkish - fresh pastries, cucumbers, tomatoes daily.

Loved everything!

I'm happy that I stayed at Hotel Taksim! The staff is the kindest! The location is perfect—simultaneously in the city's center and a quiet place. The breakfast is exceptional, fresh, delicious, and fulfilling. The staff is very caring. The room is immaculate and convenient. If you want to stay in a charming place with adorable personnel - this is the best place for you! A true hidden gem! I'm so grateful for everything and appreciate very warm care!
