No complains as such. The breakfast offered is basic and could possibly be improved. But, this doesn't take away from the fact that the place is good value for money.

The location is perfect. Right off Taksim square and walkable distance from the HavaBus station (Airport Shuttle). Mr Orhan kept following up with me from the time i confirmed the booking and arranged for an early check-in as our flight arrived early in the morning. Both him and Mr Jengiz were always available to help with pointers and guidance on how to get around the city. They will even give you a transportation card upon request. The room was a decent size. Bedding was comfortable. Restrooms were clean. Overall i was very happy with our stay

Though usually calm, the street can be noisy from time to time.

The rooms are super clean and comfortable! The breakfast is more than enough for two, and all the essentials such as shampoo, slippers, towels, kettle, microwave, kitchen utensils, and iron are provided in the room. There is also a working AC, which will be helpful in the upcoming summer days. The hotel is ideally located; it is within walking distance to İstiklal and airport transportation, and at the same time, it is on a very safe street in Taksim. The staff is so helpful, and finally, the small treats in the room were also a very welcoming touch!

Room cleaniness can be improved

The hotel location is superb if you need to be in the center around Taksim. I initially booked a room on the ground floor, but got a free upgrade, which was super nice. The room is spacious for a budget hotel and has microwave, plates, a kettle. I was greeted by Cingishan (not sure about name spelling), who personally showed me the room and explained everything. I had a nice warm feeling staying in this hotel. The price included breakfast, which I would say is not common for this price range, so it was extra bonus for me. Overall if you travel on a budget, I totally recommend it.

There was quite a bit of street noise from vehicles and people sitting outside talking. Car, van and motorbike owners also have a habit of beeping their horns frequently, even during the night. I recommend you take earplugs for a good nights sleep. It would have been good to have a working electric socket close to the table or next to the bed for charging a phone (I shared the socket being used for the kettle during my stay). There were sockets in the headboard and one above the table but they didn't appear to work. It was only a minor inconvenience though.

The manager Orhan was a great communicator and sent advance messages on how to locate the hotel on arrival, what transport to use from the airport etc. Night manager Ali made me feel very welcome, even though I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night and later than expected. Orhan assisted with a Turkish SIM card and travel card for public transport around the city, which just needed topping up before use. He explained how and where to do this. I asked for cooking items (pots and pans) to be provided in the room because I have food intolerances and have to cook my own food, and these were provided. But for those without problems with food, a nice breakfast was provided with boiled egg, meats, olives, cheese, breads and jams, tea, coffee and juice. There were cereals and milk also available. I paid for a self catering room. The room and en suite bathroom were good and the bed was very comfortable. A microwave, 2 hot plates, fridge, kettle and hairdryer were provided. The hotel was walking distance to Tuplas Stadium (where I attended a music concert), and also close to the Metro, bus routes, Tramway and Funicular railway for getting around the city. Also there was a supermarket, restaurants, multiple food outlets, ATMs and many other types of shop in close proximity to the hotel. The room was cleaned daily and the bed made. Towels and sheets were changed every other day. Orhan, Ali and Ghengis were more than helpful and made me feel very comfortable during my stay. If I go back to Istanbul in future I would definately stay there again.

Small atmospheric hotel, friendly staff, especially the manager Orhan and Ali. Good transport accessibility: metro, bus and tram stops near the hotel. Quite a quiet place, the room was on the third floor with windows facing the courtyard. The room is clean, towels are changed daily. Breakfast is traditional Turkish - fresh pastries, cucumbers, tomatoes daily.

The water pressure of the rain shower is not strong enough

I highly recommend this place for people who want a quiet and cozy resting place during their visit to Istanbul. The hotel maintains a perfect balance between accessibility to different tourist spots and a suitable distance from them. Additionally, all of their staff members are super friendly and helpful. All of these factors make me feel right at home!

Mr. Orhan was the best host you could ask for!! Literally everything was great! the location is perfect! Right next to Taxim square (metro station) , right next to Istikbal (the central touristic street) and 10 minutes walk from the tram or the ferry (to go to the Asian side) . Great value for money! The room was very comfortable and the bed was amazing! I didn't expect to have such a nice bed in such a low cost accommodation. To come and go to Taxim square or Istikbal street its very easy and quick. Follow Orhan's instructions.

I really enjoyed the hotel. The manager Orhan is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. We had everything what we needed. We got a wifi mobile router and city travel card from the hotel, which is very helpful for a short stay.

The stay was way beyond what I expected. I saw it as a top-rated place, but I've never thought about getting such attention to everything I need! The staff is super kind, accommodating, and cares about you like no other in a foreign country (no kidding). The breakfast was splendid! It's close to everything - the best location! Wi-Fi works great! The personnel speaks multiple languages. There is an elevator in the building. I highly recommend this wonderful place for a long or short trip, whatever! You will be very very happy in this adorable place!

If you’re taking the shuttle bus to the airport, you have to be ready to carry your suitcases for 15 minutes. The taxis won’t take short distances.

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Taksim Home. Location is central. Beds are comfortable. The manager Orhan provided helpful advice before we even got there in terms of travel options from the airport.
