The stairs! I was joking with them that their little 3 apartment place needs an elevator!

When I arrived they insisted I sit with them and have Turkish tea and homemade savory pastries and sweets. I think we talked and laughed for 2 hours, right from the beginning. They helped arrange transportation, suggested destinations (including a great local Hamam). We met and had tea several times over the course of my stay. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and it has great views a mosque and the Bosphorus strait. If you have knee problems this apartment will be challenging (but so will the rest of Istanbul!). The hosts are the most kindhearted, helpful, and lovely people i have met in my travels!

A table, or coffee table, some chairs and some shade would be lovely on the terrace. It was too hot to sit outside without this!

Our hosts were kind, generous, and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They gave information and advice on absolutely everything we wanted to do. The apartment has a terrace with a fantastic view. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.. though we did no cooking ourselves.

We loved our stay at Nur Home. Nur and Abuzer were warm, welcoming and caring hosts who really looked after us. If you are looking for an authentic local (Turkish) experience in the heart of old Istanbul this is what you will find. The views from our apartment, which overlooked the neighbouring mosque and out to the ocean, were stunning and unique. The apartment was clean and comfortable and everything we needed was there - so much so that we chose not to go out a lot but rather, we stayed in and enjoyed 'being' at home in Istanbul (drinking Turkish coffee which we made ourselves with everything supplied in the apartment to do so). The house is in a great location, close to eating, shopping and sites of significance. We highly recommend Nur Home for all who want an 'away home' when in Istanbul. Having a washing machine for our clothes was also a bonus as we had been travelling for a while when we arrived. Thanky you Nur and Abuzer for a memorable stay and for sharing your beautiful home and hospitality with us.

It is on 3ed floor with only a narrow spiral stair case. Good workout for us but maybe tricky for elderly, oversized or less fit people!

The hosts were exceptionally friendly They gave us lots of tips on where to eat and shop and left us small gifts every day. We will be back!

The location is perfect, most sites are from walking distance (Blue mosque, Aya Sofia). The view from the terrasse is sublime with a beautiful mosque just in front. The appartement is very quiet. There are no word to describe the hosts. They are welcoming and generous. They brought me freshly baked cake and Iftar meal to break the fast. They made me felt like home and even better. I hope to come back as soon as possible.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Sultanahmet. You will find yourself within walking distance to main attraction points in Sultanahmet like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Cistern Basilica, The Grand Bazaar, only to name a few. Also you will find may (good) restaurants and cafes in the area. However keep in mind that you will need to climb or go down pretty steep slopes to get to the apartment. The building is right next to a very nice old mosque which can be visited. The apartment is everything a couple would need for a week or two. Very, very clean (remember to leave your shoes out :) ), equipped with absolutely everything you may need (a pretty exhaustive kitchenware selection, ironing table and iron, hair dryer, washing and dishwashing machine, shower gel and shampoo etc). The view is pretty nice and the terrace is absolutely gorgeous in the morning and late evening. The wifi was not available when we arrived (due to a local electrical problem), however Abuzer told us it will be fixed in one way or another by the evening. And it was by the time we got back from town. Fast, reliable internet connection, that worked better in the living room, but that was all we needed. Now about our hosts. Abuzer and Nur actually redefined the meaning of hospitality in our book. They welcomed us like we were long time no see relatives and made sure we didn’t miss anything. Nur prepared and brought us hot tea, cakes, fruits, cheese pie, home made Turkish delight, yogurt soup etc. Abuzer helped us with all the information we needed regarding visiting various places or where to shop conveniently. He also offered to take me to a doctor, as I had a health issue in the half part of our stay, however that wasn’t necessary. The day before we left he arranged for us a good fare taxi that picked us up right from the front door. We just cannot thank them enough for how they treated us and will surely come again or at least visit them if we will be passing by.

It is the hospitality of the lovely hosts that makes the stay at this apt exceptional. They go above and beyond to take care of you and make sure you are comfortable. Right from the greeting when you arrive to when you leave they check on you and bring little homemade treats that's truly warm and makes you feel at home. The apt itself is located in the heart of old city just a few minutes from the Blue Mosque and all the main tourists attractions, ideal for any first time visitors to Istanbul. It is well equipped with everything you might need and the hosts are willing to provide anything else that might come up. They live right there and are only a call or message away. The terrace has a lovely view of the neighborhood mosque opposite the street and sea at a distance. There are flights of stairs to climb up to the apt and it sits on a steep street, something to be mindful of if you find that challenging. The hosts went out of their way to help us with our luggage to the tram station on our way out. Highly recommend!

Being near a mosque you will hear the call to prayer five times a day, although there are 2 windows / walls between the bedroom and the balcony. I don't know how many places you will find in Istanbul where you won't hear the call to prayer.

We stayed here for a week. The hosts are incredibly helpful and welcoming - we landed late, but Abuzer talked to the driver of the taxi we got from the airport and sent him the exact location and stayed up to wait for us. When we arrived they had left us drinks and water and a plate of fresh fruit in the fridge. They speak a little English but tried really hard to communicate, using online translation when needed. Our second evening there they invited us for tea and cake and we had a nice evening getting to know Abuzer and Nur (whose cake was wonderful!). They recommended places to eat nearby, gave us advice on how to move around and even booked taxis for us when we needed! We took a long distance bus out of Istanbul, and Abuzer helped us book the ticket online and even called the company when we were having problems with the website. The studio is on the top room of the building and has a fantastic view into the courtyard of the 400 year old mosque across the road. Everything was clean and in order, the kitchen utensils and appliances (fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee maker, and electric heating stove) were all new and clean and worked perfectly. They left soap and cleaning liquid in the bathroom and kitchen. The bedroom has AC, as well as extra blankets, covers, and towels. There was a TV that we didn't turn on.  They also gave us a map of the city and tourist information brochures. The building is located very close to many tourist sites and small shops and restaurants for all budgets but the alley it is on is very quiet and calm. The balcony is great to relax on in the evenings and nights, with the view of the mosque as well as the ships on the Bosphorus in the distance. If we go back to Istanbul we are going to come back here. Thank you very much for a very warm welcome and a great stay.

Host, Nur and Abuzer, really kind and warm hospitality was perfect! More than 5 stars hotel. Location; 5 minutes to Blue Mosque, tram station and many good restaurants, right in the middle of old town. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Everything. Even tho it is a 3 floor walk up and stairs are difficult for me, i loved staying here. The terrace has an exceptional view of the neighborhood mosque right next door AND the sea. The air conditioning in the bedroom is quiet and keeps the room as cool as you like. You can close the door and i did not hear the prayers on the loud speakers at all. I do use earplugs wherever i sleep. But i am now in Capadoccia and it is noisier here ghan in ghis apartment! The location is near Sultanahmet park. It is up the hill but i was able to do it with my walking sticks quite well. The T1 tram up there takes you where you need to go. Use the passenger ferry NOT an expensive tourist ferry cruise to see the Bosphorus. Its just the price of a bus ticket! Your hosts at the apartment are the loveliest people you can imagine. They will help you with whatever you need! I loved my stay here. And totally recommend this apartment.

Most beautiful apartment in the heart of Sultanamhet. Decorated beautifully in traditional Turkish style. Gorgeous sun terrace overlooking Sokullu Mehmet Pasa Mosque on one side and stunning Seaview to the other side. Very clean with kitchen facilities, dining table, sofa, shower, bedroom, and large sun terrace. Abuzer and Nur are the most wonderfully warm, friendly welcoming host's you could wish for. They went to great lengths to ensure my comfort. The welcome I had was second to none. I would wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful apartment when staying in Istanbul. Look no further.
