Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe would have liked more pillows in the room. Also it was slightly noisy as we could hear other people from neighbouring flats on calls or chatting on their balconies. Finally the entrance doors to all rooms make a really loud sound when they slam and we would wake up several times in the morning when people from other rooms would leave for breakfast.
The location was amazing, so convenient to explore the city! The view from the breakfast bar was great too with many savoury and sweet options for breakfast. Staff were kind and willing to help at all times. Great value for money overall!

MalaysiaYou have to climb a few steps to get from the sidewalk to the reception area and also the elevator didn't go all the way to the rooftop which is where the breakfast area is located (but the view from up there was great)
Love the location - Very near to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The nearest tram stop is also around 5 minutes away which makes it very convenient. We were given a room facing the ocean and the Blue Mosque. What a fantastic view it was and it was quite spacious too

United StatesWe were there at a time of year when it wasn't cold but it wasn't hot enough for AC. So, the room was very warm but when we opened the windows/doors to cool off it was so noisy that we had trouble sleeping. It was not a dealbreaker though, just an inconvenience.
The location was amazing! it's the number one reason to choose this hotel!!! We easily walked to the most famous historical sites in the neighborhood and there were plenty of cafes and restaurants as well. It was also pretty close to public transportation. The breakfast was great and it had a variety of options. It's served on the room so there is also a great view of the historical sites as well as great food.

BrazilSaba Hotel Super clean, easy to reach, comfortable and with a very helpfull staff hotel The reservation process was uncomplicated, and the staff were ready to answer any questions or information prior to our arrival. Getting there: the hotel is both by car or train easy to reach. There is a train station close to it which allows an easy access from both airports. We arrived on the asian side and got to the hotel in about an hour. Hotel location: the hotel is in the old town and close to all the major tourist attractions like the Blue Mosque (5 minutes on foot), the Raqia Sofia ( 10 minutes on foot) and the Grand Bazaar ( 20 minutes on foot). If you get there by taxi from the airport ( about 30€) and you don't have too much luggage or any mobility impediments, then ask your driver to leave you in the bottom of the street, as the streets in the old town are too too narrow and depending on the time of the day jammed with cars. Checking in: upon arrival we found a cozy and well decorated lobby with a friendly and helpful gentleman, who took care of our luggage and helped my mother up the entrance stairs ( about 5 steps). They have an elevator to the upper levels. They speak many languages like English, German, Portugueses, Spanisch....... The check in procedure was pleasant and overall we had an excellent experience with all the staff members at the reception desk and in the breakfast section. Services at the reception desk: they offer everything you need to have an enjoyable experience. They offer a cheap travel SIM card from 7-14 days. They organize all the tours from the hop on hoppy off bus to river cruises, and they arranged for us to be picked up from and brought back to the hotel. Everything can be paid in Euros or Dollars. They give you all the tips and tricks you need to get around the city and avoid being ripped off by scammers. Breakfast: the breakfast fast area is at the top of the building with a great view of the Blue Mosque and the Raqia Sofia.

Absolutely best hotel and staff I have ever been in. I stayed in Saba Hotel for 4 nights - a few hours after departing (and already in Capadocia), I noticed I had left my engagement jewel in my room. The hotel staff, and specially Mustafa, went way out of their way to find it and sending it to me ASAP. I can only praise their honesty and involvement over the whole process, and I am deeply grateful to them for having reunited with my necklace. As for the hotel, it’s extremely well-located, clean, and reasonably priced. 10/10, absolutely recommended!
