Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

RomaniaThey haven't changed the bathroom towels or the bed linen in the 10 days I've been there, and they haven't even put any water bottles in the room it was only on since I arrived.Although I paid extra for breakfast, which was quite plain and didn't include coffee or tea, there is also no machine to boil water in the room.

DenmarkI have turkish background and have been visiting Istanbul for about 20 years. This is first time I experience that the staff talk to me only for selling something, and that was so awful. I didn't buy my fly ticket and booked hotel to listen to Hatices sells speech in 3-4 minutes in the morning, I was tried, and she didn't care, didn't get permission and talk very fast, to convince me how good that is. Well it's rude Hatice, you are at work as receptionist and not sells person for you boyfriends something something, you are very rude, and calling me by my name and was very unprofessional, I stopped you, and told you before your speak that I was tried, it didn't matter for you, you have to get customer to your boyfriends something. Resul when I ask you when exchange office opens, I only ask when it's opens, its so rude you want to know how much I need to exchange, you ask twice, you want to exchange for me? Really? Thats weird, you only take the next step, when I as a guest need you to. Main street haves lots of exchange offices, and it's all the same, is not first time we are exchange money in another country, and is really not your business. Yes, is boutique hotel and sweet place, love the rooms, interrior, but some of the staff are destroying it for others, and use it for there own benefits. You both have to work on this.
The owner was sweet, she tried to help my friend with her internet, thank you. The room interrior is good, but the room and bathroom light was not effective for us, the rooms was dark, anyway we found a way. Internet was ok. Kitchen staff was sweet- thank you. The young tall boy in reception was good and helpfull- he find another room to my friend and make sure everything was ok. He was good and told us we could use kitchen, and just feel home, thank you. The location was good for my vacation plans, and is only reason why I booked this hotel, I only stayed 3,5 day in Istanbul, so it has to be practical and close to places I planed to visit. Ow important the beds are so comfortable, love it!

AzerbaijanI had a wonderful experience at the Lampa Hotel and highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul. It is a a charming and well-designed place. The room was wonderful, clean and spacious. The sevice was exceptional, the staff, including the manager go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Big gratitude for hospitality, unlimited drinks and fruits for guests at any time. I have not seen it anywhere in the world before. Thank you so much Mr.Rasul.
