Mattraces seen better days. Owner charges 100 lira for a towel, its not much, but if you pay 20 eur a night in 2024 i think it is standard, especialy when you travel ultra Light as me. NO AC, very hot During the night but bearable. Fans provided.

Sweet location, waking distance to bus station (15min) and to everything you need. Very close to Tuesday Fethiye market, shops, restaurants etc. I was glad ive booked male dorm, this was the biggest of all dorms. Room was clean ok. Shower, toilet so so but ok. Well equipped kitchen. Friendly cats.

At night there are sensors for the lights in the bathroom and kitchen. If you’re not in a specific location the lights will turn off. That was annoying.

The bathroom is a disaster. Automatic sensor turns off the light every minute (literally). In order to switch it back again, you need to step out from the shower, otherwise the sensor is not reacting. So I was showering mainly in dark. Also there are some problems with warm water.

The mattresses were old and tired but bearable. The most irritating things were the timed light in the kitchen - easily solved with the addition of a small low watt occasional lamp for the evenings. Also the sheer number of "prohibition" signs stating fines for this and that! Doesn't help create a welcoming atmosphere. However I really enjoyed my stay there in Fethiye 😀

HZD styles itself as a simple hostel. This is fair comment. However the location is great and prices very reasonable. It is a short walk to the promenade and 50 metres from the big Tuesday Bazaar. The fabric of the hostel is a bit tired but kept very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped for self catering. However it would benefit from the addition of a microwave. Hussein who looks after the place most of the time is very pleasant and helpful, however he speaks only Turkish. Mustapha the owner is pleasant and business-like and speaks good English.

Bathroom door is broken and makes a noise every time you open it. Fridge in the kitchen does not work properly and food goes bad easily. No plugs near all beds. Could turn into an 8 if these maintenance details were solved.

Very comfortable, not at all overcrowded, has such a homey feeling, and very good value. Well equipped kitchen. Owner always available and even if he's not on-site, he will come straight away if something's needed.

I didn’t end up getting there until about 4:30 AM. The staff got up and checked me in. The taxi had to call and ask directions. The staff put me in the mens room as no one there yet so I wouldn’t wake other guests. I was transferred at 9 or so when a gentleman came to the room. The location is great and right access from a big market that was opened the day I was there.

Dirt. Toilet and shower are disgusting. In the bed I found crumbs and someone's pubic hair (!) Do they even change the bed linen here?

Didn’t have Air conditioning, only a ceiling fan. Very hot. Stray cats inside. Manager didn’t speak English. Lights are motion detected and you have to stand up and wave to get the lights on. Found several bed bugs under my comforter and sheets when I was ready to go to bed. I just left and went to another hotel at 11pm

Everything was wonderful!😁 The staff speaks Russian, which pleasantly surprised me. It was very quiet and calm (during my stay there were few other guests in the hostel). I booked a private room. You can cook in the kitchen, there is a kettle. All this is important and necessary to me. And it's at a budget price👍

Only minor gripe is that the Fridge freezer doesn't freeze too well so don't expect ice cubes but keeps food & liquids cold enough in the summer months

Considering the price, this hostel is great value in a very touristy destination. The place fulfills the important four 'C"s, or cost, convenience of location , comfort & cleanliness. About a 20 minute walk for the intercity bus terminal or otogar. Only 5 mins from the promenade and harbour I stayed in a six bed dorm and there is plenty of space and a security locker for all. Bed was comfortable enough The owner, Mustafa is very obliging and helpful and a great host. Feel free to ask him any questions about his place.

The hostel owner spoke very little English, but was happy to use google translate. We asked if our bags could stay at the hostel after check out. The said this was fine. We also left fruit in the fridge for when we returned. We returned 20 min after the original check out time to found all our fruit had been thrown away and staff laughed at us for this. They were inconsiderate and unapologetic.

The location of the hostel was excellent. Close to the waterfront and the local market. The kitchen was functional and had a large fridge.

The bed was very uncomfortable and this is not a social hostel. Apart from the kitchen, there were limited places where you could meet other travellers.

The location is good, about 5-10 minutes to the old town, bus stop and 2 minutes to the markets. There is a well equipped kitchen to cook meals in. The cats were very cute.

The room was very sparse — had a pillow, sheet, top sheet and that was it. The room was ridiculously hot. Very few outlets and far from the beds. The bathroom was gross — smelled bad, floor/shower/toilet were dirty. No towels provided in the room or bathroom.

Cheap and central location. Friendly all night checkin. Lockers provided in the rooms.
