Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe jet tub would go off 15-30 minutes after it or the shower had been used. Very annoying when you shower before bed and were half asleep when it goes off. The spa facilities were ok, but the steam room and one sauna were not working. Breakfast was also very poor, hot options limited and what they did have was strange (carrots for example). Cold offering was not much better and the coffee looked like sewer water out the machine. It was also very busy every morning, we did go late most days, but they were struggling to clean tables due to lack of staff it seems
Great value for money, close to the old city and easily walkable or can take the tram which is a 5 minute walk. Also a metro station 2 minutes away for easy travel around the city. Beds were comfortable and staff were friendly

United KingdomWe first stayed at the ground floor family room. It was beautiful but no natural light which we wanted. We requested another room and the services were prefect. Got moved to a lovely new room on the 3rd floor.
Good location. Close to the grand bazaar and sulimaniya mosque. Tram services close by. Cleaner Omar was very helpful. Reception staff mehmet and Malik also very helpful.

United KingdomDrain smell particularly in the reception, bar and bathrooms. It’s pretty bad and unfortunately lets down the hotel and the people that work there. I had paid for a room with a window but there was only an inner room available on arrival. We had a discussion and they agreed to move me to a room with a window the following day but I could have done without the hassle.
Location and proximity to transport and tourist sights. Staff friendly and genuine. Rooftop pool and sunbathing area looked amazing - opens shortly. Comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet included. Second room was really nice - see below. Cheap price.

IrelandThe cleaners clean our room everyday but did not change the bed linens, they just straighten the beds out, so we had the same bed linens for 5days. The jacuzzi was not washed either.
Staff were very helpful and always smiling, the location is perfect. The Hamman bath was exceptional.

It was a convenient location and the staff were very understanding. They quickly sorted out our room and even sent us a welcome cake to our room with a thoughtful message. The dinner and breakfast buffet was a very good addition especially for my two little girls. As a family it was not always convenient to eat out, having the free buffet dinner was a bonus as we did not have to worry each day about what and how we would get to dinner. We were fasting during Ramadan and our breakfast suhoor was available for us in the morning prior to breakfast opening at 7am.

United KingdomThe reception area is insufficient for the number of guests checking in/out. Everything takes ages to complete. The impression was that staff are under pressure and are not coping well. There was no shower gel in the room and when requested we got another bottle of shampoo instead. Little annoying things which spoil otherwise a very good impression.
The rooms are very nice, luxurious with a huge jacuzzi. There is a nice pool, gym and spa centre. Conveniently located near the tube and tram stops. Reasonably good breakfast.

IraqToo Small room No balcony Noisy especially if you have a festive neighbours like we did who partied all night apparently yet the reception did help after i called them
The location is perfect for public transportation users like me, metro station is few steps away and the tram station is 500m away also, taxis are available around the clock, many grocery shops and minimarkets were few steps away as well for daily usage, the staff was welcoming and very helpfuel, especially Mr. Mehmet at the reception, who helped us with free early check-in and breakfast at 8:00am (the usual checkin is 2:00pm!), the room was too small but i guess it was enough if you use a hotel room as a bed and bath like we do, clean and tidey, fridge, iron, hair dryer, TV, all there, we didnt miss a thing, the view of the window was a back street but from the second floor it wasnt a problem, breakfast was ok, the swiming pool was clean and children friendly, over all we had nothing to complain about for the budget we invested, and would consider it for sure in our next stay in Istanbul.

CanadaOur room was very close to a club attached to the hotel. We could hear the music which thankfully stopped around 11:30pm at night.
This old hotel has the charm of a past era. It is well preserved, organized, and hosts guests from all over the world. Its location in the old city is ideally located close to many landmarks, restaurants, and shops. In addition, a stay includes breakfast and can also include lunch and dinner buffet. The food has many options, and the area is kept very clean. The personel is very pleasant, professional and courteous. The room was clean, and all amenities were functioning.
