- bed was not so comfortable and gave us both some back pain - the blanket was too small for two people, so it would be better to have one larger blanket or preferably two smaller ones by default (although this point was solved after asking for another blanket) - the bathroom was *extremely* small - one could barely walk / squeeze between the wall and the wash basin or toilet - on some of the days, the shower had an unstable temperature (constantly going from hot to luke-warm within 15 sec) - the apartment overall was fine, but the price could be a bit cheaper considering the complete package (even if prices in Turkey have drastically increased in general in the recent past)

+ cleanliness was good and the apartment was recently renovated, so most things are new + very good location within walking distance to Taksim and many great restaurants (not just the touristy ones on Istiklal street), supermarkets, etc. + despite Istanbul being a noisy city in general and despite the location being so close to Taksim, this apartment was really quiet (with some of the best sound insulation I have seen in any of the places I have stayed during my Istanbul visits) + kitchen was good enough for basic food necessities + heating was provided using the air-condition (which worked fine and made the room warm enough, even in the colder nighttime temperatures) + the host Ali was friendly and also fulfilled special wishes (like an extra blanket or thinner pillow) + WiFi was working mostly fine

The sheets did not fit on the bed so always came off. The kitchen is also very small so keep that in mind if you want to cook. But other than that, it was good

The apartment was in a fantastic location, perfect for a short stay to explore the city. It had just enough space for two people and provided everything we needed. Since we spent most of our time out and about, we didn’t need much from the apartment itself.

This is absolutely not a dislike, but be aware of which floor you are on when booking if you have any physical limitations.

Amazing location near all the best Turkish breakfast restaurants, shopping, etc. Small, but a great use of space. Washer was a life saver. Host went above and beyond by bringing my luggage up and down the stairs, providing Istanbulcart, and always being available. Will definitely be back!

There is no lift and the stairs to apartments on upper floors were steep and winding, but this was notified in advance and wasn't a problem for us.

Modern, clean and very nicely furnished one-bedroom apartment with a sofa bed. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and just a 10-minute walk from busy Taksim Square which is a popular hang-out and has a Metro station and shuttle bus to the airport. Even closer to the tramline which is what we used to travel 4-5 stops into all the main historic sites. Entry instructions to the apartment were easy to follow and communication with the host excellent.

No elevator. Checkin was 1 hr later than I had hoped. (4 pm rather than advertised earliest 3pm) which made planning my day more difficult.

We were warned, but there is no elevator.

Well thought out, economical use of space. AC worked well. So many of the hotel apartments in these areas are dingy and slapped together. This one was nicely thought through, down to the drying rack and ironing board for the ensuite laundry machine. Would come back here!

Everything was just wonderful. The apartment has all you need, the host Ali is very friendly. I personally didn’t mind the stairs, it is common for the area, and I’ve seen far worse. Also, if you somehow managed to get to the apartment from Tophane train station, the stairs are nothing.

Amazing place in very good location in Istanbul. The owner of the place very kind, friendly, attentive, helped me with luggage (take it on the up of floor). Window view also not in the Main Street so you can’t hear any noise from outside. Also place very clean, comfortable, there are hairdryer, iron, iron desk and even clothes dryer. The location of the apartment is great. Close to many cafes with delicious breakfasts, supermarket Carrefour, MIGROS, SoK. There you can buy everything you need. Close to the busiest street Istiklal and Taksim Square. Also very close to Galata Port. The owner is very nice and polite. The apartment is very clean and cozy.

Kitchen and bathroom were quite cramped and hard to move around. Not a negative, but be aware that there is no lift in the building and the closest tram/train stop is a couple of mins on foot on hilly roads or lots of stairs. So might not be the easiest if you have luggage and you want to avoid taking taxis that will charge you a lot.

Quiet location, close to Taksim and Istiklal. Near groceries and restaurants. Check-in instructions were very clear and Ali, the host, was very helpful and responsive. Living room area was spacious and comfortable. All equipment is there washing machine, iron, blowdryer, smart TV, kettle and fridge. Modern place, clean and well-kept.
