Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRedecoration of the slightly shabby rooms but hey you get what you pay for and I wasn't fussed. I enjoyed the stay.
The place is friendly, safe and good value. The room and bathroom s a little rough around the edges but you get what you pay for. The area is local and working class, bustling and loud. It's the city centre and authentic Turkey. A few grumpy locals but I never felt unsafe as a 47 year old big English lad. The staff were really nice. You can walk straight to old town on the main road so won't get lost easily. Or up to the bus stop and head left or right to Lara beach or the big beach on the other side of the harbour. They ordered food and a taxi at the front desk and were polite and friendly. I would stay again.

United KingdomReception wondered why I asked if there was a swimming pool there because there’s a beach you can pay inexpensively to use a mile away. I knew that, but I had just wondered. There is no pool at the hotel and the beach is good. The key to the room took several attempts every time before the door would open. Somewhere I read that the hotel had sound proof rooms but one of the neighbouring rooms had an alarm clock going off intermittently about every 10 minutes from about 6a.m to 8.30a.m and this did bother me. The location is very central which is excellent when out and about but the hotel is on a loud main road and near traffic lights 🚦 so take ear plugs if you don’t like car noise and beeping. There is double glazing which helps with noise but the road noise is still there.
There was someone on reception at all times who also spoke English. She was especially helpful when it came to confirming my transfer to the airport. There was an elevator which always worked and it was very near my room. I couldn’t get the shower to work but the cleaner got it working for me. I tried the shower the next day, it was extremely stiff to pull the tap thing to get water out of the shower head but I did get it to work eventually. The shower would do whatever temperature you wanted so I was very pleased. There was plenty of toilet roll and hand soap provided in the bathroom. The towels were fresh and clean. You can hang a sign on the door handle if you do not want to be disturbed. The apartment was very clean with a balcony. I had a big comfortable double bed. There was a T.V and air conditioning but I did not test these out. The hotel took my room payment on arrival. There were no hidden charges. The room was all different colours. The hotel is very central and it is easy to get taxi buses or trams. The trams stop at midnight I believe.

BulgariaI think they should clean pillows and blankets from time to time. bed linen and accessories can be old, but it must be clean even in an inexpensive hotel
Perfect location, 15 min from airport Antalya, bus and tram stops are nearby. For me it’s an ideal place to sleep a night after flight and then go next places in Turkey which I planed to visit. I‘ve stayed in this hotel three times in winter and facilities like heating (air conditioning) and hot water were okey. Rooms and furniture are very old, but it’s okey for the price they ask for.

United KingdomThe hygiene of the room in particular the shower room was of a poor standard of cleanliness, the shower cubicle had hair on the walls, obviously from a previous guest, inside the shower door was residue and streaky with a build up of scum from soap/shampoo, corners of shower base dirty, wash basin and mirror looked like they had not been cleaned. No tea making facilities in the room, no tea or coffee available in the hotel. There was not the facilities advertised, mini bar, slippers.
