Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

VietnamWe slept soundly in our comfy beds! We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen where we could make eggs, omelettes, toast, coffee and eat yummy rice in bamboo packets - all provided. It is a bit out of town but we rented scooters so it was easy to go wherever we needed to.

LithuaniaA lot of mouse living on the roof directly above the bed. Could see them trough tre holes. They were running and making sounds all night. Was hard to sleep because I felt that they will fall on my head at any given time.

The experience was awesome. You get a whole day breakfast at this place. You can cook your at any time. There was no time limit. That was amazing. The host prepared eggs, bread, butter, cooking oil and cooking utensils you might need. During my 3 days stay, she even bought Muslim breakfast for me, which was very thoughtful. I m planning to come again with my family since the place allows the guest to cook. Here you feel so close to nature, surrounded by herbs and trees. It was a wonderful stay .

NetherlandsSome people may find the distance to Pai town inconvenient, about 7 minutes drive by bike maybe, I found it a plus, but if you don't have a bike be prepared for at least one hour brisk walk
Best value for money in Pai maybe. Spacious little chalet, with big fridge, TV for people who like one, even a microwave. Separate room to store your luggage. Above that free breakfast, self-cook, self-serve. One charming lady runs it all and does everything, respect!

GermanyEverything seems a bit old and could use a little renovation.
The owner is very friendly. They have an outdoor kitchenette where you can cook your own breakfast (bread, fruit and eggs are there) The location is nice, a bit outside but youll need a scooter anyways if you're in Pai.

IndiaThe location requires your own vehicle, but this is clear in the posting. We could not find food locally, so took a ride into town. Otherwise location seemed close enough to some of the attractions like the canyon (incredible), the white Buddha (nice), and the bamboo bridge (very interesting). Shower was hot, but only when we ran the water at low flow, which took some figuring out.
Very interesting little place with some unique character. The bungalow was great; spacious, interesting design, lots of inclusions like television, fridge, water, lots of plugs. The parking was adequate for our motorcycle and the kitchen was self serve with eggs, a bit beyond what most places are offering with just bread and banana with instant coffee.

very beautiful and spacious bungalows. The owners are so kind and helpful. You can rent a scooter for 250 baht per day. United KingdomNot a negative but you will probably need to rent a moped out as it's a little bit away the main part but to be honest you need a moped for Pai in general!
The lady who runs this guesthouse was amazing. She kindly did our laundry for us and cut us papaya from her garden. It's a lovely little place, quite rustic but has everything you need.

Argentina-
We had to book in this hostel because the night before we slept in a very unpleasant place and we had to leave even after paying for one more night. Arriving at 2 Time Resort was wonderful. A mini house with a private bathroom, a refrigerator with 4 cold water inside, an armchair to rest, and windows to the outside that were waiting for us🙂. Very clean and with bagged towels and bath slippers. Attended by its owners who are very friendly, the next day they left us two more waters and fruit at the door of our house. In addition there is an outdoor kitchen with pots and pans that can be used all day. The owners give you coffee eggs and bread! Recommended 100% I will return ❤️
