Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe hassle of moving all the luggage from land to boat and then into the moterbikes and walking the way to the resort is a bit troublesome and inconvenient.
The place is located in a village away from the main Phi Phi city Center… the hotel offers a free pick and drop facility by boat… it’s around 20 mins away from The main Phi Phi pier…

United KingdomNot a major downside but be prepared to pay 1500 baht to get a boat back to the hotel of an evening if you visit the other part of Phi Phi in the night. Otherwise the boat is 200 baht when provided by the hotel.

GeorgiaThe wifi could be faster, and the transfer from the pier can be challenging if you have suitcases. We also had to wait for an hour in the heat until our transfer boat came to take us. But iverall impression of the hostel is very good, I recommend it for sure!
We had a really nice time here! The place is located in a very calm part of the island, but with plenty of cafes around. There are beautiful beaches to swim and the famous Nui beach is just 20 minutes away by walking! It is clean in the room, and the pool was a big plus! The staff is very friendly and welcoming! It's a perfect place to stay away from the noise and parties. Plus, you can take island trips and excursions right next the hostel for prices, better than in the main island :)

BelgiumWe feel travelers, particularly those with luggage to carry, should be informed that the boat transfer service offered by the property is very inconvenient at low tide if you have heavy and/or numerous bags to carry. After arriving at Tonsai beach, you must walk to Lo Dalum beach on the other side of the island (+/- 5 minutes) and then walk out across the tidal flat and then in the water up to your knees to reach the boat that will take you to Lana beach on the west side of the island and near the property. From there, assistance was provided to carry bags from the boat to a 3-wheel Tuk-tuk that carried all bags to the property. Other than this inconvenience, we enyoyed our stay at Hip Resort @ Phi Phi and would recommend it to other travelers who do not (like us) wish to be among the masses and noise of Lo Dalum and Tonsai.
We enjoyed the quiet location of the Hip Resort & Phi Phi. The staff were always available, helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. We ate in local restaurants and found everything we needed in the village shops and restaurants. The travel agent next door organized a private longtail boat excursion for us to visit Koh Phi Phi Leh and some nearby areas on Koh Phi Phi Don. The Hip Resort @ Phi Phi is located on the northeastern coast of Koh Phi Phi, and you must take a longtail boat to reach the accommodation. The beaches near the property are ok, but the best beach nearby, in our opinion, is Laem Tong beach that can be reached by foot in 25 to 30 minutes by following a good cement path/narrow road or by taking a 3-wheel Tuk-tuk taxi. It can probably also be reached by longtail boat. Great place to swim, particularly at high tide. We recommend Hip Resort @ Phi Phi to other travelers visiting Koh Phi Phi Don and who wish to avoid the throngs of people and noise one finds at Tonsai and Lo Dalum beaches.

Indiapricey considering this resort isn't closer to the main phi phi pier. you need to take another boat from the phi phi pier to Loh lana bay and walk approx 1km to reach here on the day of our return to phuket, the water level on loh lana bay was very low that the boats for transporting us back to phi phi pier couldn't come close to the shore. we had to walk with luggages on our heads and shoulders for more 500 metres in the sea water with water till our knees you can prefer this if you are travelling to phi phi with less luggage fyi this isn't the same as "Hip Seaview resort" in Google maps. this is "Hip hotel"
well maintained clean rooms good pool

AustraliaThe mattress I was sleeping on was very uncomfortable and was concave. The door to our room didn't lock. But we had no troubles with stealing so it was fine.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, they really made us feel comfortable. I liked that instead of the crazy hustle and bustle of the main part of the island, we had our own little getaway in this secluded part of the island.

United KingdomThe pool didn’t have sun loungers/umbrellas like the photo (looked very dull) Getting to the main area of phi phi is expensive, 400 baht for one person one way on a longtail boat or an hour and half jungle trek The walls were thin so you could hear what other people were up to… Just be aware that there are prayers called from a mosque nearby, so at 5am this can wake you up.
Located in the small phi phi village area, so very quiet and peaceful Staff were friendly, and offered free pick up and drop off during check in and out :) The room was basic, had what you needed and clean. The AC worked really well. Local beach nearby is stunning (loh ba kao bay)

SpainIt's in the north part of the island so you should now you need to take a boat to arrive to the center (Tonsai), or do 1 hour jungle trekking, however it's more calmed and relaxed and it is just close a restaurants zone, so actually you will not need to go to the center unless you want specifically to see Tonsai beaches.
Nice Staff Big room Near Nui Beach which is a must visit for sunset They offer shuttle free service on checkin and check out. The rest of the days they offer shuttle service to Tonsai at two times (7:30 am and 11:00 am) for only 200 bats.

IndiaThe stay was an additional ferry ride away from the main town of Phi Phi. So this place is not meant for groups looking to stay where the parties are at. The additional rides are also very uncomfortable for anyone travelling with lots of luggage. And any movement to the main town area incurs a steep cost to travel by ferry.
The shuttle service provided by the resort was complimentary and hence appreciated. The resort was located away from the mainland and hence it was calm and relaxing. The stay was comfortable and the amenities provided were satisfactory. The hosts were accommodating and polite.

AustraliaBecause it's not in the main part of the island, you need to travel by boat to get there. The hotel does have a boat ferry, which is free for the trip there, and away but has a fee other times. While I was there there seemed to be an issue with the boat - not being there when they were supposed to, charging 150 baht when the hotel told us it was 100. I think this was an issue with the boatman, not the hotel so hopefully they'll find another boatman. Also be careful not to arrange anything on Ton Sai outside of the hotel's normal ferry hours - to get to the pier at 7am cost 700 baht ...
Lovely little place to stay, with really nice amenities, including a lovely porch sitting area. Lots of neighbourhood cats to pat! The staff were all lovely, lent out snorkel equipment and helped to arrange boat travels to Ton Sai, and onwards off Phi Phi. The village was also really nice - much less busy than Ton Sai, but plenty of restaurants to choose from. The accommodation was 5 minute walk from the beach, where there were lots of fish to spy on. Would definitely recommend staying here.

United KingdomThe “free shuttle” guy “waiting at the pier” was not there so had to pay fixed price £30 to get to the hotel. Understand the room are meant to be minimal, but they have gone too far and it’s genuinely nice to be in the room. It has a dank smell and the patio door was sealed shut. In the way back into mainland the free shuttle guy basically crashed in a pole
Pool is nice
