Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandWe had as an couple an excellent and very friendly stay at the Haven Khao Lak. Hotel itself is beautiful and the general feeling was very peaceful and there was this sense of serenity. Pool is excellent, very large and you definitely can do long distance swimming practice there if you want. Pool was clean also. Enjoyed it a lot. Room was beautiful and good quality. Beds gave us lovely sleeps. Air-conditioning works very well and you can adjust it how you like. We didn't hear any noises from other rooms, it was peaceful and nice. Gym was good. Hotel activities were excellent and fun, highly recommend having them, you can get to know with other hotel visitors that way also if you want. Breakfast was well made, coffee is served to the table. Service excellent! I liked this restaurant a lot, food had very good taste. Thanks to the chefs. We actually visited this hotel's restaurant quite often while staying in the hotel, excellent surroundings and service again. You also get free ride to certain restaurant from the hotel if you want to visit other places also. There are also few other places to eat 500m walk from the hotel. We didn't go to them but heard that those are good options also. One of the best things is the beach, it's so peaceful and quiet, there is in front of the hotel on the beach some benches and hammocks and swings, think about watching the sunset there without any restaurant buzzing or other things, just peace and a painting that slowly changes, light breeze and ocean making it's sounds. You can rent a scooter from the hotel like we did, no problems, easy and quiet drive to the main road. There are some rental firms at Khao Lak that also deliver scooter to the hotel for little price if you like that option. Good secure parking for the scooter. The staff deserves extra mention as they were very friendly and helpful, if we had any problems they were very willingly to help us out.

United KingdomExcellent hotel. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean. Eveything you needed was provided free of cost - beach towels, beach mat, beach bag, drinking water, sandals etc. Breakfast was as great, fresh eggs made as you like and lots of sweet and savoury options and barista style coffee! The pool for the rooms and the main pool were kept clean and bug free. The evening restaurant food was lovely with a range of options, the Thai food was delicious but there were also more western options. The staff were fantastic - specifically a gentleman name William (a member of the bar staff) was exceptionally friendly and made our stay. Free shuttle bus that took you into the centre or to the market was really appreciated. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

United KingdomWe were there for our honeymoon and right next door was ongoing building work onsite every day.
The pool was amazing, could enter from our room. The food was good and a very extensive selection and choice. The room was comfortable and air conditioned.

United KingdomIt was a bit out of the way but we were able to get taxis into town, it was only 5-10 minutes but there and back cost £12 each night. Also there was nowhere to store your clothes. There was a small wardrobe with a few hooks but no drawers at all.
The pool was big and there were always sunbeds available

ThailandPerhaps there are adequate managers there, but the one who settled us caused only negative emotions. A young man of full build and smiling deceitfully. Three hours after check-in, he began to brazenly extort 1,500 baht for the presence of a child in the room. He persistently and stickily followed me at every corner with a nasty, malicious smile and insisted that I had to pay another 1,500 baht above the room rate. I explain to him that we are not making a request for an additional bed and that we have already been settled on the basic terms three hours ago. Then in the evening another person called me in my room and said that the amount of extortion would be reduced to 1000 baht. I had to make more rigorous efforts to explain to these idiots that it is forbidden to disturb guests and that if you have already checked in under certain conditions, then this is what will happen. I’m writing this exclusively for the more important people of this hotel. Suddenly they read reviews. Because my well-being was not affected, but I don’t know about others.
A complex of spacious swimming pools and proximity to the sea are the main advantages of the hotel

United KingdomBar was small and lacking in atmosphere. Only one restaurant and very little choice of food at lunch unless you ate in the same restaurant as evening.

United States of AmericaFood was expensive and really sub par- we felt given the price it should be all inclusive or really improve on quality. While the beach was gorgeous, there was some trash we felt the resorts should try and clean up in order to be eco responsible. I’m sure it’s from tourists, but just a thought.
Beautiful sunsets, not crowded and amazing sand. Walking distance to Bang Niang town and beach from the beach Extremely friendly staff and easy check in process. Went above and beyond to help us and give a great stay. Such good coffee!

United Arab EmiratesThe hotel itself needs renovation. The room is huge but there is no socket on the bedside table to charge, the furniture looks old but otherwise comfortable. The pool tiles have some rusty spots and missing tile but manageable when you are already enjoying the warm salt water and the sun!
The staff there were lovely, especially L. J. and Jake. Also the thai lady manager at reception, sorry I forgot your name :( They were very accommodating and courteous. We had a pool access room which is the best, it's like your own private pool because everyone else is going to the main pool. The in room dining food was surprisingly good. Even breakfast was good! I loved the chocolate waffles the best :) The bed was comfortable but it's even better when you have the topper! The room is huge and has balcony to relax. Housekeeping staff are always smiling and so friendly. The pool water has the perfect temperature for a swim. It was so peaceful in that hotel, so quiet and nature all around the buildings. Overall, a very nice adult only hotel. We are already planning to come back and this time, for a longer stay! Thank you for a wonderful experience :)

New ZealandGuests are allowed to leave towels on loungers then leave, many whom are gone for hours. This ruins and limits the use of the pool for others. A simple policy would to remove towels after 15 minutes.
Nice facilities, clean rooms, helpful staff.

AustraliaIt was hard to find 2 lounges together in the shade at the same time. As >70 aged person, the stairs were a bit difficult to contend with going to and from the room and to and from the eating areas. Poolside, it was a bit hard to get to the toilets.
I liked the pool area and the long meandering pool which was able to give privacy in he water because of its design. Te staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were large and spacious. There was a large library of holiday reading books, though most were in German. There was a swim-up bar.

United States of AmericaLoved the swimming pools! Loved that the resort is for adults, so no bothersome kids in the pools. Excellent breakfast buffet with many international food choices. We used the bicycles (they need some maintenance) to explore the area. Staff helped us organize drivers for sightseeing.

AustraliaWe loved everything about our stay at the haven. One of our favorite things was the staff! Special mention to Jeff, who always greeted us with the biggest smile at dinner. William who made delicious cocktails and great conversation at happy hour. Thor, who always made sure we had fantastic service poolside, we never went thirsty! Ramesh, for his kindness and professionalism, he’s very good at his job. And lovely Bee who served us everyday with a smile at breakfast, and delivered room service. All of the staff were wonderful, but these were our favorites! The pool is incredible, gorgeous view of the beach, so many options where to set up for the day. We could spend the morning poolside, or relax on the beach, have a cocktail at the swim up bar, or relax outside our pool access room. The meals were incredible, so much to choose from! The Thai night and bbq nights were fantastic aswell. We slowly but surely made our way through the whole cocktail list and loved almost every single one! We would love to come back to the haven and bring our family and friends for a fun and relaxing stay!!
