Signs outside the hotel saying ‘this is not a hotel’ slightly off putting!

This is a great option for a stay in Chiang Mai. We liked that it was self catered and we could use the washing machine. The gym is great and pool lovely but limited sun beds. Location around 20 minutes outside the city centre which we didn’t mind!

The lift takes ages!

We where exhausted from flying over from Bangkok early morning. Hotel was able to assist us with early check in no problem. Location is great right near markets, cafes and weed shops. The pool is stunning. The rooms are clean and had really good space. The washing machine was a bonus. It was very convenient everything we needed was there. Security is great to.

Unfortunately there was a smell of cigarette smoke a lot of the time coming from other apartments/balconies.

Great location, very accommodating host with early check in and use of sofa bed. Apartment was clean and plenty of towels. Coffee shop, travel agency and laundry on site. We had a great stay here.

The air conditioner inside the bed room is really annoying. It always stops working after 10-15 mins of cooling status and then keep stopping and working again. We couldnt sleep well at night due to that issue. It would be better if they provide 2 remotes for 2 separated air conditioners, instead of only 1 remotes that we need to switch. No slipper provided which is not quite comfortable for us. The entrance door to the balcony cannot be locked, need to be fixed.

Good location, apartment with all standard facilities. About 20 mins to the old town and quite a few shops around. Good room rate with medium sized apartment.

The third apartment I stayed in due to my having to extend my stay was fine but there was some dust in places that should have been cleaned and there was a bad odor coming from under the sink. I think there was some spoiled food leftover in the sink drain. If you didn’t open the underside doors though you didn’t really smell it. Other than that though I would recommend all of the apartments for a good stay in Chiang Mai.

The Astra is a great building in the heart of Chiang Mai. I really enjoyed my time here. I would recommend this to other travelers. I stayed in three apartments and the first one was nice (apartment B809), the second one was the best (12B11), and third apartment A1505 was fine. I would recommend all of them but the third was my least favorite.

No complaint

Short walk to the swimming pool and fitness room. One floor up on the 16th floor. Very well furnished and everything very clean. Contact with the owner is also excellent as he always responds quickly to questions.

Geat location and convenient to reach many places from our hotel. The roftop pool was relaxing. It is quiet and met our expectations. The bed is comfy and the sofa bed in the living room was also great for the kids. We enjoyed our stay and will recommmend it for other people!

Great location with lovely roof pool- apartment is big enough and the washing powder and kitchen appliances were a nice touch to clean up midst stay. Smooth process getting the key and nice coffee shop downstairs.

Loved our 4 day stay here and fully recommend as a base for exploring Chiang Mai! Condo - stunning and brand new! Easy to find with very efficient security on-site, small swimming pool on the 16th floor, small coffee shop on the ground floor (tea/coffee/shakes and cakes!). Laundry, taxi and hire services available from the team in the foyer. Room - the best we've had on our Asia travels; large, well appointed and modern. Very comfy bed and all the facilities you'd need such as hair dryer, iron / ironing board, washing machine etc. Honestly perfect - would could have moved in for the long haul!! Location - super easy to get around the city from here as Tuk-Tuks are on the street outside and their price is the same or better than Grab. Only about 15 mins to get to the main sites. Food - 3 night markets / bazaars are no more than 10min walk away and all close together. Featuring everything you could want with a huge range of food choices. Multiple 7-11 stores are immediately nearby. Parking - brilliant, tons of spaces in the secure compound so perfect for bringing your own wheels (4 or 2 - as theres clear bays for scooters as well) Couldn't rate this highly enough; great pre-communication and perfect place to be for a few days or maybe even weeks!

The directions in the room stated to leave the keys in the room, however the emailed check out instructions stated to leave the keys at the reception desk which was a little confusing. I would suggest getting the 2 instructions in line or stating you can do 1 or the other as we had a super early morning flight to catch and I wasn't sure which option I was supposed to go with.

I liked having a laundry and kitchen unit inside our room and options for extra bedding. The balcony was nice as well and the rooftop pool was beautiful. There is no bar or restaurant in the facility, but plenty within walking distance and the night market which pops up is also within walking distance which was superb!

The beds were not very comfortable. The double bed was a bit hard. The futon in the bedroom was very uncomfortable, convex shape, very sore back after sleeping on it, not even the youngest child wanted to sleep on it. Sofa bed was also not very comfortable but better than the futon.

Location was great. Pool area was great with nice views, sunbeds etc., except that blonde hair turned greenish after swimming in the pool. Room was great. Reception area was great and coffee was excellent.

The apartment we stayed was neat and tidy and just few minutes away from night market. The location is convenient place to travel anywhere. Security guards are always there so it’s safe.

No fault of the owner but the pool area was very busy and sometimes hard to get a lounger.

We absolutely loved this property, we had stayed at a 4* hotel for the previous few days in Chiang Mai before our stay here but this property had exceeded the hotel significantly in terms of price, facilities and location. The apartment was super clean, it was easy to check in & out and we loved the roof top pool. The apartment even had a washing machine and we were able to wash our clothes and dry them on the balcony which is a huge perk after travelling for over 3 weeks. Would definitely come back if we return to Chiang Mai.

Stayed with grown up son so used sofa bed, not very comfortable. Apartment in Building B of Astra Condo, which is further to walk from entrance and smaller pool than building A.

Helpful, prompt communication with host, flexible with check in/out times. Apartment is a good size and has everything needed. Clean, kitchen facilities, washing machine, Netflix and nice balcony looking over Shangri Hotel.

The bed and pillows weren’t comfortable and just had to use the couch pillows.

We loved the space of this room! Our own kitchen and living area as well as a washing machine!! With a beautiful small balcony. This apartment had 2 showers as well. The location was good! Super close to a 7 11 as well as the night markets.
