Breakfast hot food needed to be kept covered. Reception staff were not especially friendly or welcoming, but they were efficient. Was there a bar? The cafe seating area needed some signage, and faster service. It is a very old and tired hotel, so I hope there is enough investment to stop it disintegrating completely.

Location, close to Sanam Luang, Grand Palace and Khaosan Road. Pool was welcome. My room was very nice, I'd guess recently modernised to a good standard. Room service food was fast, delicious and very good value (but the added tax and service charge took the shine off a little bit, compared to the headline price). Breakfast was OK but just one more staff needed to make sure customers re-cover the hot food. Cold uncovered food is dangerous in such a hot climate

Transport service could be better, when I arrived at airport and requested minibus but been informed that for business class and group tours only didn’t interest to service for lone travelers or economy class

The hotel is slightly old

The spectacular location in the heart of Bangkok close to the temples and behind Khao Street, the place felt safe, the cleanliness was very good and the treatment was very different from what we expected since it does not have very good comments. Good breakfast

Rooms in the old wing is not so good. Bathroom sink broken, aircon makes weird sound, bad smell in the corridor.

The location was actually good. But transportation system was not budget friendly.

The hotel is a bit old. We were in a room of 3 but there were only enough slippers for 2. We were later given a paper old and used slippers. We also needed to ask for hair dryer. The room does not have a router unlike other rooms and wifi quality was rather poor. However, given the low price, everything was okay.

I would like them to change the breakfast menu a little bit, I stayed there for 1 week and eating the same thing everyday was a little boring, I don't mean any big changes but even changing from fried eggs to scrambled would be nice already. The rooms are very old and not very well kept, but ok.

The breakfast is very complete, with many options. The hotel has an ATM machine with fair values, there are also 2 little shops inside the hotel where you can buy some souvenirs.

There was a broken outlet in my room and carpeting in the room and the hallways were badly stained.

Excellent location for visiting the Grand Palace, numerous temples, and a good starting point for tours. I love the pool!

The couch in my room had large stains, probably from water dripping on an old cushion. I didn't want to sit on the couch at all. The WiFi was not consistent and inconvenient. The repeater unit in my room never showed up on my phone so I had to use one in another room, but those were not always available. I had to have a list of passwords to use for whatever I could find and sometime none worked. The front desk staff were business-minded, not unfriendly but not nearly as friendly as other places I've stayed in Thailand. The staff in the breakfast room were unpleasant.

Nice location for walking to historic places. The facility is attractive.

Very outdated rooms not kept well the main staff is not nice a little rude the breakfast is definitely not worth it, better to eat out. The TV in the room do not work and when you let reception know they do nothing the rooms are not cleaned thoroughly

1. Pool closes at 6pm which is at least an hour early. Restaurant is closed at night. Safe boxes are at the reception, not in the room. 2. They are asking for cash for everything - deposits for safe boxes and for the room (deposits are dutifully returned at the end of the stay), cash payments for coffee and lunch, etc. You can't put these on the room/on credit card. This isn't normal for a 4* hotel.

You can't beat the location: 3 min to museums, 7 min to the Royal palace, 10 min to Wat Saketh, 10 min to the river pier, 5 min to Kao San Rd, but not directly there, so it is quiet at night. Adequate/standard 4 star hotel that is a bit on the older side. Michelin starred restaurants are 10 min walk away and great street food is even closer. Comfortable clean room, nice bathroom, good size pool, friendly staff.

the staff at reception and restaurant were lost, not competent and not well organized. It seems that the job is a burden for them, without trying to facilitate the check-in/out and stay of the clients. facilities and rooms are aging and not well cleaned nor maintained: it is time for a refurbishment

The location is great but the hotell feels like it was Nice 15 years ago and no work has been done to improve it since. The sheets where dirty but The room was big and once again great location.
