Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomCleanliness is average, bed sheets were stained and the bathroom was mouldy, but you are getting what you pay for given this is extremely cheap accommodation. All rooms are Fan-only.
Location of this guesthouse is perfect, on the main road just walking distance from the beach, night market and cabaret show. Short tuk tuk ride to other beaches. The lady at reception was lovely and helpful, I originally booked a dorm room and she bumped me up to a private room for no extra cost as she didn’t have many guests staying that week, I really appreciated this :) The guesthouse runs cooking classes, I didn’t take part but saw a couple and they looked great fun.

ThailandRented 4 rooms, all were dirty and used and old, nothing like on the pictures. One smelled really bad with poo from toilet pipes. Other ones were stuffy with humidity. Electricity cables sticking out - so unsafe, lamps popping out from the ceiling about to fall down, disgusting toilets. Stay away!

United KingdomDirty. Does not look at all like the pictures online. It was cheap but you would still expect a certain level of cleanliness for a hotel. The ‘bathroom’ wasn’t a separate room, it was built into the main room (see picture) which likely didn’t help with what looked like mould on furnishings as there was no extractor fan etc. The whole room needed a good scrub and the sheets etc needed replacing due to rips in them. There was a communal fridge guests could use which looked like it had never been cleaned. We also had a dodgey window above our bed behind a curtain which looked directly into the hotel hallway. The room was so hot, aircon was available but for an additional ~£11 a night which was more expensive than the room itself. Overall very disappointing- if you need somewhere for 1 night it would be bearable but we wouldn’t stay again.
The location was good - near the market and short walk to the beach. Staff were friendly but the room was not good.

United Kingdommouldy ceilings, sense of damp in room and pictures didn’t look anything like those on here. had a fan room so super warm when entering after day light but for night time slept so comfortably in the temperature and avoided illness from air con.
staff was amazing, one lady in particular spoke really good English and was so helpful, we even extended for a few nights because we slept so well. really near to the big market that’s on most nights, and only a short walk to the beach. even had a fridge!!
