Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt's not that we didn't like it, but we were in room 040 And it was a hike up to it each time! I just was unprepared for the workout. I would stay in that room again though to be up in the trees!
Our room was up in the trees and we loved that! When it started raining we could see monkeys from our balcony. We were close enough to the restaurants, but also secluded in our little slice of paradise.

EcuadorWe did not like the location, you need to grab a boat for everything and the staff that moves your luggage does not really help once they leave you at the pier. Instructions need to be more clear for first time tourists.
We loved the room service and view to the sea. The room was very nice.

PolandI spotted 2 huge cockroaches! But well, on the other hand, you're in the jungle. The location is a bit tricky. 20 minutes walking from the town.
The staff does not speak English almost at all... What makes it hard to communicate with them about anything at all, unfortunately.

MexicoThere’s rats that go into the rooms. First night I found mouse poop but didn’t think much of it, the hotel is in the jungle after all. But second day two mice woke me up. I got up and was able to see where they were coming in from, and once again, there was poop all over the desk. It is the jungle, but maybe do a better inspection and maintenance of the rooms to fill up any holes.
The views are incredible, breakfast is pretty decent, really good in fact, the facilities are always very clean.

Nice location, few minuts walk from the main beach and other restaurants. Good ordinary breakfast. Beatiful view from swimimg pool and nice company of monkeys.

NetherlandsThe beach can't be really used, so it's inaccurate to say that the hotel has a "private beach". The next beach is Railay West, which is 20-30min walk. The hill is very steep (although you are therefore having a great view), so if you have a stroller / kids, be prepared to work out your glutes!

AustraliaThe hotel was located on a hill so it was a bit of a walk back and to the room but nothing crazy.
Beautiful hotel surround by the jungle meaning you could see wild life while enjoying your breakfast, swimming in the pool or just relaxing at the room. The food was good, but it was really the near by restaurants that really made this hotel shine. It is own private pier where you could get picked up for day tours etc. and there were free shuttle boats to/from the hotel to the main land pier.

Thailandi liked everything, the only thing to be aware of is that you need to take the boat to go there ( of course there’s no cars on this side of the island, which i like ) but after that you need to walk like 1.5/2km to go to the resort, with a lot of luggage it’s a bit complicated !
really nice place, in the «middle of nowhere » not right in the middle of railey beach, so not in the middle of all the tourists, really like it. staff were friendly, room was huge!!

Spain- Bathroom was constantly full of bugs and animals going overhead would drop debris and more bugs from the plastic ceiling. - Room was very noisy to move around in. - Speedboats sound all day and all night. - Towels (both for shower and pools) were not well cleaned. - Stains on the toilet.
- Amazing location, right in the jungle. - Pool was great!! - Brakfast was a big plus. - Closeby to the town and Railay west which we really enjoyed.

DenmarkWhat I don’t like is that you need boats to get to the hotel, and have to walk some pretty inconvenient places with heavy bags and suitcases, but it’s worth it!
Great view - as its called;) Jungle like feeling, because of its remote location. Which is both good and bad. There is different ways to get to the mainland it’s just a bit inconvenient that you have to schedule your day after the boats. Breakfast buffet was ok. Highly recommend if you want a more “Thailand” feeling hotel, with bamboo houses and nature with a great view!

United Kingdomwe had read about the long tail boats running late and early, so this wasn’t a surprise and didn’t really worry us - sounded a lot like small aircraft flying over. What was not good was the Alamo at constant sound of either insects or small creatures rustling and gnawing in the space above our heads through the night every night. they could not get in, but if you wake in the night the noise is quite loud. the hotel provides earplugs and if you use them this improves the situation. The restaurant service in the evening is almost non-existent. we chose to stay there the 1st night. no tables set, no welcoming environment. when we did order the food was clearly pre-cooked and reheated. I think most people walk to the village to the many restaurants there. food ant breakfast and during the day was good
the room was lovely - the mosquito net a real bonus. once we got our bearings the location proved to be ideal. far enough away from the very busy area but an easy walk to get there. the pool area is amazing and daytime service for food and drinks to the pool. breakfast is adequate/good but not amazing

AustraliaThe noise from the boats ferrying people to and from Railay was pretty constant. We got used to it, and it didn't bother us too much, but it would be good to take that into account. Also, it's about a 10 minute walk to most of the restaurants and the beach. It's a very pretty walk, and we love to walk, so this was a bonus for us. The whole area is just beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The breakfast was very nice, and the view from the restaurant was stunning. We had a lovely view from our room, and it was very private, even on the balcony.

GreeceThe noise never stops. Whether it is the passing motorboats (each passing lasts up to 3 minutes and there are hardly any breaks) or the never ending mayhem caused by workers all over the hotel, there isn't a moment's peace. I believe this should be stated on the booking site "it is never quiet here". To their credit, they offer ear plugs (which don't help much). The walk from the centre is 10-15 minutes and on occasion steep. It's up to you how you feel about it. All services carry twice the price or more, compared to the town.
Let's start with the basics: this isolated part of the Railay Peninsula is a slice of heaven on earth; as untouched as it gets, featuring wildlife, great views and ambience. The staff are very polite and willing, though they will get stuck in minor requests if they don't fit their script. Breakfast is good.

IndiaFor a place that has a pool open till 9, I really feel like food should be available till later. We arrived post 10 pm on our first night there, and no food was available, as room service shuts at 8.30 and the restaurant at 9 pm. Also, the longtail boats passing by every few minutes can get a little annoying and disturb the peace and quiet. While the resort has provided ear plugs, I feel a better solution such as double glazed windows wold be a welcome addition. Also, the door to the balcony didn't quite lock properly.
Great location, with really lovely and sweet staff. Breakfast was also nice, as was the pool.

United KingdomSnails. Massive car sized snails. It’s a 20 minute walk to get to shops, restaurants and beaches. You can pay 200 baht to get a taxi boat which is quite a lot considering the distance they take you. However, they do have free transfers a few times a day that you can use.
Rooms were a good size and it felt secluded. Pool area was also nice
