A very warm welcome and such beautiful surroundings

It was extremely difficult to communicate with the staff at the reception, which made it nearly impossible to understand what they meant when we upgraded two rooms at the main building to two independent cabins by the lake. We had had paid, for two rooms, 4 nights, 17.000 baths and were asked to pay an extra 24.000 baths for the upgrade, two cabins, four nights). It was all very confusing and a bit (we found) exaggerated. Nevertheless, we paid the requested extra and – mind you – the only advantage we had was having a cabin, we expected some more perks, but hey, not all hotel managements are alike. Wi-Fi was a mess. Had to login, each and everytime I wanted to acess. Not nice. Guests from upper rooms could see me having the outside shower...

Nice room, good location, breakfast was ok, the staff at breakfast was nice (DeeDee was particularly nice). Good cocktails. Shower outside the cabin was very nice. Several pools.

There is a bit of a smell in the rooms.

Beautiful hotel with a good breakfast and very friendly staff. The hotel is just a 5 min walk from the beach and has lots of restaurants, bars and stores nearby. The staff were great and helped us to check in earlier. There is also a small gym.

As always in Asia, the English language barrier is something that really bothers us as this hotel claims to be 4 stars. Nobody understood what I was saying and some employees didn't understand a word I said. When I needed to use the phone to speak to reception it was stressful as they also didn't understand what I was saying and I had to leave the room and go to reception to explain in person what I needed. On the first night my friends and I were frustrated because they only put two single beds and as we were 3 people on the third bed they put duvets as if they were mattresses and I found this disrespectful. Another thing that really stressed me out was the fact that there was no one on the first night to help us and they decided to send a broken and dirty bed to the room to use on the first night. Unfortunately, this hotel was not prepared to receive 3 people as I had already requested and booked. The cleaning is very bad and the cleaning lady does not use a wet mop to sanitize the floor, I asked them to provide the correct cleaning and the cleaning lady used a wet bath towel and crouched down to clean the floor. On our first night, the duvets seemed to be dirty and full of stains, which seemed to me like they hadn't been changed in days, perhaps because there weren't many guests, they didn't see the need to clean the room again. On our last day, minutes before checking out, the cleaning lady was already at our room door knocking several times without any politeness, disturbing us without respecting our space. And the last thing that irritated me the most was the fact that I asked for fresh coconut water in my room and they didn't deliver it and I waited two hours until I gave up and went to reception in person to ask and stayed in the pool. The laundry service is also horrible since they charge the cost of washing for clothes and not per kilo, which would be correct.

The hotel is very good with a wonderful space, a beautiful lake and several swimming pools for everyone's best comfort, but unfortunately it has serious problems that really annoyed me.

Upon check in, one of the rooms was not ready for another which was inconvenient. Didn’t get an apology. Rooms were large but the bungalows are outdated and feel a little drab. A weird smell from the bathroom (some kind of cleaning scent). My in laws who travelled with us had their room AC stop in the middle of the night on two occasions despite them fixing it and ended up getting moved but were compensated with an upgrade. Every time you leave the resort the internet drops and you have to log back in again; this was annoying. We travelled as a family of 5 and requested an interconnecting room and despite paying in advance, I was still told they could not guarantee it until we arrived. We did get the interconnecting rooms which was a relief but the uncertainty was not great.

Great location, set back off the street. You get back gate access allowing another option for quicker access to the beach. 3 good sized pools. Breakfast was plentiful and great selection. Good size bungalows, felt quiet despite being quite a crowd at breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfy pillows and good house cleaning service.

We didn't like that our A/C unit broke, and the jet tub randomly turned on in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. However, the staff were quick to fix both things for us so we could resume our wonderful stay.

There is a strong mold smell in the rooms. We asked to move a room due to the smell and the other room unfortunetly also had the mold smell.

We had to move rooms a few times due to maintenance issues before we were given a free upgrade to a private cottage. If staying again I’d just book the private cottage straight up.

Great location off the main road and a short walk to the beach. There is a street food market practically next door for cheap meals too

The steps leading to the deluxe cottage are steep and poorly lit by night.

The location was great, right in the heart of the resort and only a couple of minutes walk to the beach.

Although there are a few pools they were all constantly very busy so we didn't use the pool at all. We had a bit of trouble with a noisy upstairs neighbour so I'd ask for a top floor room! I'd probably stay at the other side of Ao Nang if you're not looking to be in the thick of the night life.

The location is fab and it really does feel peaceful in a busy (and slightly crazy) Ao Nang. The air con in the room was amazing - it was so hot while we were there. The rooms are clean and modern and you're given bottles of water every day. 4pm free tea, coffee and snacks was also a lovely touch!

Some areas around the grounds are looking a little tired.

Location is superb, you are just off the main road but feel like you are in the jungle. Rooms were really nice, with a choice of 3 pools.
