Getting old, though the rooms look like they have recently refreshed. Food is average. WIFI is hit and miss.

I am a bit overdue to write this review. I am obliged to the amazing team of the Mimosa Hotel. This is the 4th time I stay here, each time I visit Koh Samui for my workout Bootcamp at FITKOH. It is located next door. I am obliged this time coz I experienced undesirable medical issue. The team at Mimosa, lead by Mrs. Kandice Khin, rushed to the room to rescue me. She swiftly arranged to put me in a car and rushed me to the hospital with the driver (I did not get his name). The hotel team and the staff at Fitkoh ( Elizabeth, Khun Sonal, and Khun Tarn) were there to ensure that I was being attended medically swiftly by hospital staff. Mrs. Kandice stayed with me at the hospital till she ensured that I was recovered. I am in debt to them all, and particularly to her. Thanks everyone and special thanks to Mrs. Kandice Khin. Location relative to the bootcamp FITKOH. The clean and beautiful beach.

Unfortunately I was a magnet for mosquitoes and was badly bitten . I would suggest that mosquito repellent is supplied in each room as a freebie just in case of allergic reactions to mosquitoes

Very clean and well kept and safe areas , the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the every food item I ordered was delicious. The front of house all spoke English . The resort is literally on the paradise beach . Check out my YouTube channel The naked tourist vlogging a dead donkey

The only negative feedback I’d have is that the internet was not up to par at all. I was there for two weeks and had to work during the week days and doing conference calls just wasn’t possible and constant connection issues. I was lucky I had friends staying somewhere else near by so I’d go there to work but something to be aware of is that if you need good internet for work, this will be an issue. If having good intent is not a requirement then the place is absolutely flawless and amazing.

I wish to have more facilities there (like more restaurant and coffee shops options). Not so many available nearby and you have to walk 7-10 minutes until there, but you can rent a bike from hotel as well.

The location is next to the beach. The place is quiet.

We found the beds quite uncomfortable.

The staff were very humble and hospitable. They were very welcoming, and we really appreciated this. They made us feel very special on our honeymoon.

The only issue we had but a big issue was the noise from other apartments was really loud. There was 1 night where we could hear the TV perfectly through the walls and then loads of banging and moving of furniture another night. I’m not sure what the resolution would be for this but it’s something to be aware of.

The property was in an incredible location only a short walk away from the beachfront restaurant and the beach. It’s a quiet location but short taxi ride away from busier areas.

The only criticism is the weights room is not air conditioned and the equipment is a bit old.

The beach was incredible. The breakfast view is hard to beat. Staff is always friendly.

The bathroom- the shower was not properly defined it was only separated by a shower curtain so the water tended to splatter a bit. It was also quite old too could do with revamping for a 4 star hotel in my opinion. In general the staff when we checked in did not explain all the amenities available in the room and in the property in general which normally would be expected for a 4 star hotel. Besides this, the staff was very helpful and friendly!

The beach and pool side were really great, not crowded and the restaurant staff was the best! Best sunset views or sunrise too. Comfortable bed and spacious room. The massage was great too and very very affordable as they offered a 40% discount :)

Mimosa is located on a quiet back road away from any busy traffic noise. The view from the pool and restaurant was amazing right on the waters edge. Its very quiet compared to other samui beaches which was perfect for us. The staff are super helpful and kind and the best we've experienced in Thailand, overall you can't go wrong here! We had 2 different rooms and both were nice and very clean.

Staff were fabulous. Polite and efficient. Explained room and facilities in great detail upon check-in. When my phone charger cord broke, they arranged to have a replacement delivered to me. And no extra charge for delivery!

-/+ road leading to the hotel is very bouncy and when it’s raining it gets really hard to walk/ride (but it is not the resort fault, they are doing their best to make it safe)

+ quiet location, away from the crowded street + friendly and helpful people + very delicious breakfast (a lot of options to choose from, vegetarian as well) + spacious room (villa with private pool) + very clean room, restaurant and pool + beautiful beach (when good weather conditions)

The outdoor tub area could be cleaner but I suppose being outdoors it is subject to dust and dirt and bugs. The water wasn't hot and it was really difficult to pull the plug up. My partner hurt his fingers trying

Love the room. It was spacious with a big balcony with out door hot tub. Staff were very friendly kind. The restaurant served delicious food and the pool area was beautiful.

If I really had to pick on something, the shower only has an overhead waterfall shower and pressure could be better.

Booked this hotel as it is within a 15 min walking distance to the FitKoh gym. This is a true beachfront resort, on Baan Tai beach, and you get the perfect seaview during your meals at the cafe. The beach is not busy at all which is fantastic. The restaurant food is excellent and well priced - my favourite being the Pad Kra Pao, the thai iced tea and the mango sticky rice. Staff are very friendly. Room is large and the bed is comfortable. Aircon is strong which is essential in the hot weather. Beach slippers are provided and beach/pool towels are provided at the restaurant if you need them. Khin, the lady at the reception, is very warm and helpful. The loving ginger cat in the resort is also a bonus :) Did NOT get bitten by mosquitos - I did spray repellent regularly but this is great compared to other islands in Thailand.

The only thing that bothered us is that the door leading to the semi outdoor shower does not properly seal which caused a continuous presence of mosquitoes in the room. The way the shower is set up is quite smart especially with the humid environment and there is nothing wrong with it not being enclosed fully but then the door leading to the rest of the apartment should seal a 100% to ensure no mosquitoes gets in. There was a visible 1cm gap the bottom half where the door should close. The second set of doors separaring the bedroom from the rest of the bathroom had the same issue.

We really had a wonderful experience here. From the pool, beach, service down to the food. Great staff and the room was stunning.
