From the moment I arrived, the staff immediately offered me a bottle of water. Whatever you need, they are always ready and willing to help. **Staff**: I would like to commend Benn and Sai, who were both polite, hardworking, and humble. They never left us unattended and were always helping us in anything. The owner, Fon, was incredibly kind, always checking in to make sure everything was okay. **Location**: Perfectly situated in the heart of Haad Rin, it’s close enough to all the restaurants and just a short walk to the beach, but far enough to avoid the loud party noise. **Facilities**: I was very comfortable during my stay. The toilets were clean and attached to our dorm. There are plenty of entertainment options and games, making it a great place to socialize. If you're looking for a fun, social atmosphere, this is the hostel for you. Many of us extended our stay because we had such a great time!

No ping pong table

Close enough to the beach that you can walk home after full moon. Big bar with consoles and pool to play. The Owner Fon and his team are really good people, and they have great recommendations. Big rooms and a homely feel. 10/10 would recommend (also friendly dogs) and a good Muay Thai gym next door.

Nothing everything was perfect

Thanks to Fon and team for my stay it was perfect. The location is near Haadrin beach, maybe a 5 minute walk. But far enough away that it isn't too noisy to sleep. Fon really makes sure that your time on the island is perfect! The hostel is small, but it's a very social hostle. I really recommend to anyone solo travelling as its a good hostel to socialise at.

Fantastic staff and facilities. Best location - very close to the beach and at the heart of Haad Rin. As a group of friends we loved staying here. Air conditioning was very good in the spacious room. Bathroom had a lovely bath and everywhere was very clean. They have the loveliest dogs at the hostel to keep us occupied by the bar. We also got to paint ourselves before beach parties at the neon paint corner. This new build hostel is where you should stay in Koh Phangan, be sure to book this gem.

A real gem - it’s an amazing hostel and we had unforgettable moments here. The staff are super chill and helpful. Rooms were so spacious and clean. All the facilities were amazing and it’s a 5 min walk to the full moon beach. Very convenient location with all amenities around. All credit to the owner’s design, creativity and excellent management. Lovely bar with great selection of yummy cocktails. Excited to come back here again ❤️

Value for money and the host was really helpful in giving advices for activities, how to save money etc. 6 persons dormitory had its own bathroom. Location is perfect for Haad Rin. I haven't used it, but there is a great space for socializing.

The owner and his family are incredible, they look after their guests as if we were part of their family. The owner was always looking after anything I needed and recommended and came with me to the best places for food, rent a scooter, ATM, etc. The vibe at the bar is also amazing and the owner and bartender always try to keep us entertained by playing pool, video games or simply sharing stories. From 1 to 10, I would give them 150.

This hostel is lovely. It is in great location. It is very social hostel. Fon (owner) got out of his way to make you feel like home, comfortable and satisfied and he created great social atmosphere. I did not stay in full moon days, so the island was not too full. But I met great people and had great time there. I even spent my birthday there. It was lovely. I would highly recommend for solo travelers or any travellers. Many thanks to Fon, his mum, Ben (the bartender who makes amazing cocktails) and everyone in hostel 🫶🏽

There’s nothing i can find

I recently stayed at Mbar Hostel and had a fantastic experience. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hostel is situated in the best location. The place was impeccably clean, which made my stay even more comfortable. I highly recommend Mbar Hostel to anyone looking for a great place to stay

What’s not to love about M Bar!! The staff are the best - felt like a 5 star hotel and a second home all in one. Fon goes above and beyond and is so kind and caring. Benn makes a killer cocktail and will keep you on your toes with pool. Special shout-out to Fon’s mum who was both chef and nurse - you can see that kindness runs in the family! The facilities are great (stayed in both rooms and you can’t go wrong). Location is perfect. Fon has a great local network - highly recommend the Muay Thai gym behind the hostel. It’s the little things that made this stay a 100/10 from moving the fan to where I was sitting, giving me a chilled sweat towel after gym and always making me smile. I love MBar and will be back!!! If you’re too slow to book it, do yourself a favour and go visit the bar like so many others!

Had the greatest experience in all of Thailand here. Staff is super friendly, very helpful, outgoing and fun. You can come with everything and they will help you with all you need. Host ist the nicest guy, very relaxed and cares about your needs. Benn is a very funny staff member who motivates you. And espacially Mae is the caring mother with the best food. Everyone was super friendly! They were always making sure we had everything we needed. Even got me toothpaste from the store when I forgot and gave me a lift to the ferry pier on my last day. The rooms are very spacious and the bar downstairs looks really cool. You are right next to the walking street and the beach. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Koh Phangan!!

Amazing place and amazing staff, Fon the main guy is an amazing person always ready to help out with any problems and always a call away During the full moon party there’s always free bbq for all the people staying at the hostels so it’s pretty fun place to meet people Everyday was a fun day at the hostel and met some amazing people and had an amazing time

The owner and the staff are just amazing! I felt so comfortable and welcomed. They made everything they could to help me and made me enjoy even more my travel. The room had a very nice area and it was very clean. Also cheap and fair price compared to other places and for being in a very touristic place. I doubt there is a better hostel to spend your time where you will have lots of fun and also feel like home. When I come back to Haad Rin I would love to stay here again. I will never forget them. Generally during Full Moon days the prices will go a bit higher than normal days in the whole island not only in this hostel, but the VALUE you get here will worth more than the money you paid!

Started a warm welcoming by the owner Fon, he was always caring about my staying if I need anything and support me in anything I needed in the island. Great place to stay, chill and making friends. Staffs were lovely too, feels like it’s your home. Beds were comfortable, clean and you can request extra pillow if needed, AC was working all the time, this was my extended one night stay after 4 nights spent already. Enjoyment on this island can be happens with people, and this is the right place to enjoy it.

Really spacious dorm on 2nd floor, so close to Haad Rin beach but tucked away from the main busy street. Staff are so lovely and give lots of recommendations for the island. Free water refills, comfy beds and even a bathtub in room!

We were welcomed by very nice people. They gave us good tips for excursions and chatted with us at the bar. The rooms are big and you have a lot of space. The bartender is very friendly and makes the best cocktails! I will definitely come back!
