Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThough I have some remarks I highly recommend this hotel for families and older couples. At least for a couple of days. Breakfast deal is pretty bad, eaten at Siam Deli with a very limited offer from an a la cart menu. As on all resorts the restaurants are quite pricey. Rooms are a bit dark, but we only stayed there after sunset so for us it didn’t matter. Pools were a bit too warm for a fresh dip, I preferred the very nice beach instead.
Marriott’s Phuket Beach Club is on the same ground as JW Marriott and it shares everything with that resort. The only difference is that you don’t have the same breakfast buffet and that the rooms might differ between the resorts. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect for our family of five. I really like the closeness to the beach, that you have some cheap restaurants on the beach and a small shopping center within walking distance. We stayed for 4 nights which was perfect, after that we were quite done with the resort. Beautiful gardens between the houses and nice grass area between the resort and the beach were you can lay in the sun or play volleyball. I wouldn’t say that either this or JW is a real luxury resort, but they are definitely clean and good enough.

United StatesIt’s so wonderful to have met such a beautiful soul in the heart of Phuket Island. Upon check-in, we already knew that we would be in excellent hands. Oy did a sensational job in arranging all of our accommodations including our hotel stay, hotel to airport transportation and especially our elephant experience. Her level of professionalism far exceeds typical customer care. She treated each and every one of us like her family. She literally made it her mission to guarantee us having the most amazing time in Thailand. I have traveled to many places, and I haven’t yet met a concierge staff that can match Oy’s standards. She really is the personification of customer service. Her level of care is second to none as she single-handedly made sure my family had the best Thai experience. It’s safe to say, we've made a new friend in each other. Again, thank you so much for everything and daghang salamat, Khun Oy!! PS. She’s also a Miss Universe fan. SloveniaWe paid for a room with breakfast. But we didnt know that breakfast was a la carte and not buffet which they also offered, the surcharge for buffet breakfast was expensive. Also caffee ( cappuccino) was about 6euros. Food and drinks prices are insanely high. Near hotel is 7 eleven but there is not much to buy. If you are looking for a party this hotel is not a rigt place for you. This hotel is for family,....
Location is good, people there are very nice and helpful. Apartment was very big and comfortable.

FranceGreat beachfront location, quiet area outside the main Phuket tourist trap. Lovely pools & facilities, staff very friendly, very spacious room, nice large & quiet beach with other "local" beachfront dining options & good cheap beach massages. We maybe got lucky due to Covid & things being very quiet in general!

SingaporeNothing really. We felt very looked after.
We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was situated on the edge of the resort. Very peaceful. Loved the beach. It was empty - no rows of sun-loungers and no other hotels could be seen. Quiet, and with lovely views. Paddle boarding, kayaking and body-boarding available too with friendly helpful staff on hand. 3 pools. One adult only, one with kids slide, but big enough for adults too and one very quiet one for both adults and kids. Breakfast was great - loads of choice. Masks were worn by all staff and most of the guests. Food in the resort was pricey, but as expected. There is a little shopping area just around the corner so cheap snacks, drinks and food could be obtained there. We ate out there a couple of times too. Lovely gardens, kids games area, kids club and spa. For a beach holiday, we had a lovely time. We also hired a car to visit the rest of the island. And did a boat trip to neighbouring islands.

IndonesiaImmediately upon arrival they cornered us into a hard sell about joining Vacation Club. We agreed to sit through a 90 minute pitch the next day in exchange for gift vouchers. But they made me give back some of the vouchers when my wife couldn’t also join the pitch, even though they knew we were travelling with small children. So counter productive. Based on this experience we will NEVER join the Marriott Vacation Club. Room fee included breakfast but we were turned away from the nice buffet breakfast and sent to a third-class area and given one item each from a boring menu. Very embarrassing and humiliating. Why have different tiers of breakfast? It just makes some guests feel unwelcome. Unbelievably, they close the pool at 6pm, just before sunset! And they stop serving drinks by the pool even earlier! WHY? Has the Marriott never heard of sundowners? I have never before in all my travels been to a tropical beach resort hotel that closes the pool BEFORE sunset! I thought they were joking but alas… The resort is too big and you need to order a golf buggy every time you want to leave or return to your room. And there are lots of mosquitoes.
our room was nice
