The room was a little rough round the edges, like a cracked shower basin, but as Peter explained, they've been a little understaffed, so this was very understandable. The location was incredible for the view, but we were a little unprepared for how unreliable Grab is out of the big cities. If we were to return, we'd definitely hire a car.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Phu Khao. The view from our villa was absolutely stunning and the room had been decorated very nicely. The hotel owners, Lek and Peter, were absolutely fantastic. Lek is an absolutely incredible cook and amazing at sorting taxis and boat trips for you, and Peter was always available for a chat and advice. We had the best welcome when we arrived, a cold towel and iced drink, and despite it being a little late, Lek whipped together some food for us. We were very grateful! The hotel had a lovely little pool, and the breakfast was (no surprise) amazing. Would VERY much recommend staying here!

Nothing, everything was perfect. Our favourite place out of the 5 places we stayed in Thailand.

Wonderful spacious villa, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, quiet aircon with awesome views from shower room, terrace, pool and restaurant. Hosts Peter and Leki were so kind and thoughtful, food delicious. The gardens are beautiful and well tended. Close to several Wonderful beaches and forest treks. Excellent value.

Very authentic place, spacy, comfortable villas (with new,quiet AC ☺️), great, helpful hosts. Fantastic views from terrasses.. A car or bike is a must for quick ride to the nearby beaches or restaurants. Would be happy to return..

Sea view villa was a spacious room with stunning views across the Andaman sea. Fabulous breakfasts and dinner, no need to eat out. Good sized clean pool. Only a few minutes drive from Khlong Muang beach, great for sunset.

The owners and staff are fantastic. We like to be out of the tourist areas but close enough to go if we want. The rooms are large well decorated in traditional Thai. Beds are great. The bar service and Leks awesome cooking make this place very special. The breakfast is fantastic. When back in Thailand this will be the first place we book. If you have health issues or disabilities there are stairs to get to some of the villas just a heads up before you book. Lek arranged a scooter for us that was perfect for getting around. We left feeling like we were leaving family.

Nothing. For people who want to stay at the beach it's important to know that the hotel is in the hills and you either walk down or take a scooter / taxi to the beach. And for mobility impaired people the stairs might be a little tricky but we liked the view on the top :)

Best accommodation experience ever! If we could stay there forever - we would. Peter and Lek are the most welcoming and thoughtful hosts. They can read their guests' minds and every dream comes true. From the amazing beach view villas with comfy bed to the relaxing pool and the amazingly authentic Thai cuisine or a private massage in the cabanas with ocean view. They even organised a little cake for my husband's birthday. The Krabi Villa Phu Khao Private Resort is truly a gem that makes you feel like you're part of the family. We wish you all the best and hope to see you soon.

Only small things which could be solved with Peter's help. It's a bit outside from everywhere. You need a transport. But on the other side - that's why it is calm.

The resort is small and neat. We had a spectacular view from our villa. The pool was great and we enjoyed it even at night with its illumination. Our hosts, Lek and Peter, were very caring and helpful. And not at least, the food was also great.

The high location overlooks the freeway, which makes it a little noisy from passing traffic during the day.

The view of the sea and the mountains is fantastic (our villa was the highest in the area). The owners are very hospitable. The breakfast is delicious and varied.

This was our favourite stay during our 9 weeks in Thailand. The views, the restaurant, breakfast and swimming pool were amazing. The seating area of the room was comfortable. The area is good with plenty to do and see. It's best to have a car (or scooter) to go to all the sights. We preferred this to staying in Aonang. What made this resort really stood out were the owners Peter and Lek. Their hospitality was incredible. Peter was laidback and fun to talk to. Lek is a great cook and we still miss her cooking! We were sad to leave.

WiFi was not working during our stay in the garden villa. Peter is aware of this issue, I suppose it is settled by now.

I think we loved everything in Krabi Villa Phu Khao Private Resort. The villa was big, clean and very confortable. The resort is fantastic: the amazing pool, deck and common areas are inviting you to relax. The food was delicious thanks to Lek who is an outstanding cook. Although Lek and Peter will help you to organise your daily trips, note that you will preferably need to rent a car/ motorbike if you regularly want to go out as taxis are quite expensive.

We didn't have enough time! While the pool and sun deck areas were lovely, our days were much too full of adventure to properly appreciate some of the amenities. Next time we will build in time to sit and read, poolside.

More than the accomodations alone, which are spectacular, the best part of staying at the Villa Phu Khao was our host team, Peter and Lek. Peter is a wonderful guide for western visitors, and helped us immensely with navigating the local area. He is very knowledgeable about both Thailand and the larger region, and knew just what adventures we would be most interested in, also serving as personal transportation any time we needed. Lek is an absolute gem. She is deeply ingrained in the local community, she made us feel a part of it. Not only does Lek do it all- including on the spot repairs for our villa- she is a world class cook. We could have gone out for formal dining experiences elsewhere in Krabi, but frankly we didn't feel the need with Lek right next door! Rumor has it she will even give a lesson in Thai cooking if you're interested ;) I could go on about how lovely our stay was, but words would fall short. When we come to Thailand next, we could not think of another place we would stay. Thank you for an unforgettable stay, Peter and Lek! We cannot wait to see you again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the villa was spacious, bed large and comfortable with nice balcony overlooking splendid views of tropical forest, mountains and the sea in the distance. Lek and Peter were excellent hosts organised trips, taxis providing invaluable advice on the local area - nothing was too much trouble. We ate in most nights the menu was varied and food excellent and well presented again the bar and restaurant were comfortable with splendid views. Would certainly go back again when in Krabi - well worth a visit.

Every thing about this resort was great. My villa was great very clean very comfortable. The owner lek and husband peter, where great made me feel very welcome. The food was fantastic 😋 the staff were fantastic..the resort was beautiful. 1day was not enough. So I'm staying for a month..would recommend this resort to everyone. I'll be back.

Cancelled hotel booking due to unsuitable accommodation access issues. We had to cancel this accommodation after inspection on arrival due to my partner having mobility issues following 2 foot operations. The reception access is a steep slope with no steps, this leads to reception up a short flight of steps. Peter showed us accommodation which was up 3 very steep uneven sets of steps or stairs which were precarious to say the least. Peter and Lek were extremely helpful but could not offer us alternative accommodation in the hotel as they were fully booked, they have agreed to a full refund, they will confirm this with you. There is no description on the website that states how steep the hotel is to gain access to any of the rooms, this should be pointed out for anybody who has limited mobility. We had to find alternative accommodation which was extremely difficult due to hotels being fully booked in high season and very short notice. We did eventually find a hotel after much searching. The cost increase was approximately £150.00 which we feel should be covered by yourselves for not giving a full description on your website, or indeed having this verified for other travellers. I doubt that the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 is covered in Thailand, however as your website is accessible to UK residents it should mention such properties that would cause distress to potential customers who are unable to access such properties. So given that there is absolutely NO mention on your website about access issues to this hotel and the inconvenience of finding alternative accommodation in high season and at very short notice As of 6 days later, the promised email from Peter has not arrived, we have WhatsApp'd, telephoned, emailed and visited to try to resolve this matter, but have been ignored, despite Peter & Leks promise to correspond with Booking.com
