Hotel must have been chic but aging; still in good conditions, clean, staff are friendly. Location! Pool is basic; but good to have ones. Kata beach is always amazing. Hotel BF is impressive. (Had local dishes; love it as a local!)

Beach not suitable for swimming due to current weather, but great for surfing.

All room had View overlooking beach and pool. So nice to be able to wake up to sound of the waves. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Such great value for money. Beach was lovely- big waves but great for surfing. 1:1 Lessons available for 800tbh. Lots of shops on road behind beach were closed, but area is more open than some of the others. Hotel cafe overlooking beach did great pizzas, burgers and milkshakes as well as good Thai food. Ska bar on the beach is open daily and also does great food until 9pm. Andaman coffee opposite did great food too and Aman’s coffee was 10/10. Also lots of little street food venders by beach selling Thai food and great rotis!

Absolutely Stunning Beautiful Beach Pool out door dinning walking distance to all the shop's and restaurants the breakfast services was some of the best I have ever had and included with my booking. Amazing

The staff at the pool bar were just awful, they do not want to be there it seems. No one would go to your table to ask for your order but there's about 3 staff behind the bar with at least one of them idle. Not an issue normally, apart from when you go to the bar to order, they seem irritated you did so. I saw how one group who had just arrived were told to go order food from the beach bar, who then sent them back to the pool bar because you can definitely order food from them - it was unnecessary rudeness which became on brand for the pool bar staff. The main restaurant staff are rude too, but mainly the lady stopping you before sitting down to ask for your room number (despite her not being at the restaurant foyer to greet and do this politely.

The pool, beach, housekeeping and aquagym staff were all fantastic - super polite and eager to help and improve our stay. The evening performances and the staff at the beach bar and restaurant were so lovely and made evenings special.

Recommendation: - Bit More options for brekfast .E.g mushroom, spinach, etc. It would be good to have fruits and salads in displayed fridge so they kept cool and refreshing. - If possible it would be nice to be able to pick up fresh towels from the reception if needed.

Absolutely love this resort. It has the best beach front and location. Also a nice pool area We stayed here in October in 2022 and now again in April 2024 . Resort is renowned and the recent upgrade of rooms has brighter and better then before. We received a room upgrade and the room was amazing!Super clean and spacious with an amazing view. This time during the day resort offered lots of free activities,such as yoga, aqua aerobic etc.At night time there was nightly entertainment with a buffet dinner. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Especially Kim who remembered us from last time. Security guard at the front would greet us every time. He always had a smile on his face and had a great attitude. Good Brekfast. It would be nice if the hotel had different food options during breakfast. Coffee from the coffee machine was amazing. Overall Great experience. Loved it! We will be back:) Thank you Beyond Kata staff for an amazing holiday!

Staff were a bit slow at serving

We had a beach view room, which I recommend. The view was amazing. The pool next to the beach offered the best of both worlds. Location was great with restaurants and bars just outside the door.

The breakfast is terrible. The food runs out all the time and no one replaces it until you ask. The egg station is very slow - the women cooks chat to each other and don’t even look at you to take your order. The coffee machines are never working. The flies are everywhere - the hotel needs to have fans in the dining hall or enclose it with air-conditioning. The swimming pool is so shallow you can’t even swim properly. The bedroom is noisy - you can hear noises from everywhere. The pool bar did not have coconuts.

Everything, just don’t go!!

What a joke. We went there and they gave us a different room, nothing that they say in booking is true and we had to beg the staff to get their attention to order or help us. We have booked a sea view but they only had rooms on the ground floor which they sell as “sea view”, so they “upgraded” us to pool view in which you opened the doors and everyone could see you in your room, no privacy at all. They have this policy on the pool to not reserve sunbeds but by 9am everyone has put their towels on the sunbeds even though they say not to so this was extremely frustrating. There is no pool service. We went to breakfast within hours and it had finished and they simply didn’t care. It goes without saying that it was dirty on the halls with leftover plates everywhere. We travelled from the UK and it was so disappointing, we didn’t want them to ruin our holidays so we left on day 1. They are clearly a big hotel so don’t expect any customer service, you pay lots and you enter a human jungle, every human for their themselves.

Amazing location right on the beach! The buffet breakfast was good. The room had good Air-conditioning, the bed was comfy (for Asian standards) and the view from the balcony was great. Staff were very helpful. The pool was good.

I only regret not staying here longer. Everything here was great!

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I travel a lot. Everything here is on the high level, starting from the clean and nice outdoor pool and finishing with extremely cozy pillows. I had a room with a sea view and this is something you definitely should pay extra for, it’s just awesome. Well equipped bathroom, nice walk-in shower with natural stone floor and walls. Extremely big bed was a blast for my family of 3. Breakfast has a lot of options, you won’t get bored with it. Also a lot of European tourists like to stay here, which is a big plus, and not too many russians.

The queues for coffee at breakfast. The fact that some guests seem to be allowed to reserve sun beds whilst others have their towels removed. No hotel sunbeds on the beach. Noisy organised pool activities. My room was dark and very overlooked by other room balconies.
