Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis place delivers exactly what it promises. A rural retreat in a beautiful location. (And at an incredibly cheap price! ) These days it's hard to find somewhere that offers a taste of a simpler way of life where you can genuinely unwind and just relax. The chiang dao hot springs (free to use) are a few minutes walk away and very relaxing. We also walked to the Chiang Dao Cave Temple about 3 miles away. (Most people were driving cars or mopeds but we had neither so we walked 😊. If you're used to walking, (as we are) and can deal with the heat, it's fine. If not then book a taxi, they're very reasonable. The owner is THE most pleasant man, genuinely interested in all of his guests and asks you all about your home country and does his utmost to make sure you are well looked after . He cooked us breakfast each morning and cut up fresh fruit for my son who doesn't eat eggs or meat, and made toast . There was tea and coffee available anytime and the kitchen to use as you wish. Our cabin/bungalow was small but completely sufficient for our needs. There was a TV on the wall but we didn't use it. The shower room was good with an efficient hot shower, towels and soap provided and toilet rolls. If, like us, you are lovers of nature, camping, and a quiet beautiful place to relax, then you will definitely enjoy Doo Dao Doi home and stay.

United KingdomLovely location near to the hot springs and handy for a hike. A short distance out of town but this wasn’t as issue as could easily take a taxi for 150 baht. Nice breakfast; fabulous host… Functional no frills accommodation but this is reflected in the price.

Our stay was cool, owner is really nice guy he called taxi for us, made us amazing breakfast every morning and just the atmosphere of the place itself is really calm. Everything was clean and even though there is no network for data, there is WIFI connection! Mosquito net is there too!

SpainEverything was lovely. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!
The place was the best stay we’ve had in Thailand! Relaxing property with a river running right next to the cabins. The hot springs just up the street were an added bonus. The cabin was complete with a fridge, furniture for luggage storage, a hammock and a table outside. The kitchen had everything you needed if cooking or heating up food as well as water to refill our bottles. The included breakfast was delicious and filling. We were grateful for the recommendations and hospitality from the host! Thank you for having us!

United KingdomNothing negative to say about the farm or the cottages I stayed in. It is advisable to carry a good mosquito repellent for use , particularly in the rainy season. As the farm is in a very natural environment, there will be various creepy-crawlies, but please don't let this put you off. While walking outside the property there can be some stray dogs which one needs to be careful of. It's best to carry a stick with you if venturing out further on foot.
This was my second visit to Doo Dao Doi. My previous visit was six years ago and I was left with many happy memories of my stay. I had always wanted to come back and finally made it back again. As a Nature lover, the farm's location is perfect for me to walk around the farm and its surrounding fields,, forest and roads and photograph the various beautiful plants, trees insects and other creatures.in their natural surroundings. There are no restaurants within walking distance , so if you do not have your own transport it is best to buy your own food and keep it in the fridge. In the open-air kitchen, there is both a gas stove and a microwave which you can use to cook your meals. An excellent and adequate fresh breakfast ; sometimes Western , sometimes Thai, is included in the price of the stay There are also hot springs along the main road within easy walking distance of this farm and are free to use. If you are lucky, you can see some fireflies in the environs of the farm too. Above all, the kindness of the owner Oun makes this a very special place.
