Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe Western food at the restaurant was not so good. The rooms were a bit dated but honestly, once you see the view you forget about the rooms. I did cut myself on the beach but it’s not called coral beach for nothing.
The property is located on a cliff and that allowed the hotel guests to enjoy a beautiful view and scenery. The breakfast was amazing. I had been craving proper breakfast, including bread, bacon and eggs and I got it. The staff were friendly. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. What goes around comes around. If you are friendly, they are also friendly. I read a lot of the comments here and most of the people sound very stuck up so expecting the world. The internet was also really good. Thank you for hosting us.

KuwaitThe only thing i didnt like was the internet, the internet is weak and signal comes and goes. Even when theres single dont expect to watch youtube or play brawl stars. Most you can do is send and recieve whatsapp messages. Internet strength and speed need to improve. Its also on the road side so you will hear traffic from time to time.
The room size and view was amazing. The beach is great if you like snorkling but not good for swimming, you can walk to Silver bay 10 min walk for great swimming.

United KingdomAll of the staff were lovely except one of the pool/pool bar men who striped us of our pool towels at 7.15 even though the pool area closed at 8pm. He also told off some guests for moving their sun loungers out of alignment! The second pool closest to the hotel was green and not clear blue as was seen on photos taken by family a few months prior. The restaurant menu doesn’t really cater for vegetarians.
The infinity pool was great and the sea view impressive. We loved having access to the snorkels and finding our own little private beach to explore the reef from.

NetherlandsAirco system is really noisy and difficult to operate. Restaurant staff has difficulties with English. We tried to explain we would like to eat together, so all dishes at the same time, but they keep on bringing the dishes one by one. Please note this is a minor point on the generally very kind and helpfull staff.
Perfect stay in beautiful beach houses. Beautiful beach, however Koh Tao is better snorkeling, with stones, coral and colourful fishes. Great infinity pool with super View over the bay and nice inner pool with bubble bath. Good and quiet location but near enough to Lamai and Chaweng beach

**Hotel Review: Coral Cliff** If you're looking for a breathtaking getaway, Coral Cliff is the place to be. Perched on a cliff with dreamy seaside views, this hotel offers an unparalleled experience. The location itself speaks volumes—just book a room and see for yourself. One of the highlights is the stunning infinity pool, perfect for relaxing while sipping on luscious cocktails. The staff is incredibly friendly, and a special shoutout goes to a lady named Pok, who truly brightens up your day with her warmth and hospitality. The breakfast spread is diverse, featuring a wide variety of fresh fruits. The beach offers dreamy escapes with swaying palm trees, free towels, and kayaks for your enjoyment. While you might need a car or scooter to get around, the beauty and tranquility of the location make it worth the effort. The on-site restaurant is excellent, and free live music from very talented singers on two weekdays adds to the charm. Just be mindful that if you go higher in the resort, you can hear some noise from the road. We highly recommend Coral Cliff for anyone seeking a serene and luxurious seaside retreat.

AustraliaMost of the staff were friendly, considered how bad dengue is it would be great if the main doors in the villas shut flush and didn’t have a gap, the breakfast was pretty underwhelming, maybe some freshly squeezed juices ice for the fruit as it started to melt with the cheeses after being out for a couple of hours, a proper coffee station would be excellent

RomaniaThe swimming pool at the villa, dirty with loose tiles. Shower head full of limescale, impossible to use.
The location and the beach are easy to access, you need a scooter or car to move to Lamai or Chaweng. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, too much cooked food, very bad coffee, on the other hand, the food on the menu is very delicious and varied. Very nice staff, willing to help you with any problem encountered.

IsraelThe distance from main attractions, no hotel water sports options such as kayak or paddle board. Most of the staff didn't speak any English. The beds were not clean, and the shower was with no water pressure, and the drainage was clogged.
The proximity to the private beach. The pools and the view was good. The staff was helpful and the rooms were comfortable. The restaurant had good food and long service hours. Good breakfast.

NetherlandsThe food is a bit overpriced and not really worth the money. If you don’t have a car, it can also be quite far away from other food options.
It’s located at an amazing beach, you also have multiple private beaches of the hotel and generally a great view.
