We recommend the hotel to get sterilizer for baby bottles etc. (not in each room but just to have available in the hotel in case people with babies need one). Other high quality hotels do that, and it’s very convenient. :) Other than that everything was great! :)

Location is great - close to the beach and other places of interest on the island. Staff was also very friendly & smiley! We were with our 6 month old baby and they made sure to make us feel comfortable. The spa place is a must! Great Thai massage :) We booked half board - highly recommended, the lunch/dinner is very much worth it!

Nice hotel with a friendly and very qualified staff with a high level of service! Especially l'd like to mention su-chef the Portosino restaurant Mr. Jatin, who made the presentation of amazing Indian kitchen for as, managers of restaurant Annie and Julia, who was very hospitality and professionally, miss Fah and Nadia from a rooftop bar with a breathtaking sea view. A reception staff also was very professional. I kindly recommend to visit a Indian kitchen night!

Nothing, it was perfect!

We stayed at Avista Grande for 10 days this April for our honeymoon and I couldn’t write enough positive sentiments about our stay here! It was our first time in Thailand, and the location of the hotel which is located directly across the street from Karon Beach was just superb. We had many days lounging by the pool which satiated our need for relaxation and easy access back to our room, the bar, the many close convenient stores to restock snacks/drinks, and a bathroom. Our room was very neatly kept and cleaned daily by Duean, Nangyai, and Non, who left us cute towel animals and refreshed the water for my flowers. They would restock complimentary bottled waters too. The front desk was extremely attentive and helpful for booking the spa and restaurants. We had breakfast included with our stay which I highly recommend for the ease, bang for your buck, and huge variety of delicious options. Everyday we would get custom coffees and really enjoyed the buffet’s quality ingredients. We took advance of the rooftop bar for sunset, which was awesome, and the Madame Pearle Spa for a mani/pedi (highly recommend booking with Angie!). The resort was very kid-friendly and seemed to have more families than couples especially at the pool, but that was fine with us. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this resort more and felt we got a 5 star experience for a very reasonable price! Thank you, Avista Grande!

The best experience ever. The hotel is very nice and new and far from street noise but not far from the beach which is three minutes walk just cross the road. The reception staff are friendly and nice and they upgraded our room for free. The room is big and comfortable and the private excess to the pool was an amazing experience. The kids have enjoyed going to the big pool as well as the kids zone. The restaurant and staff there are nice and helpful. The breakfast is wonderful. Not a lot of variety but the available are very tasty. We booked half board so we were taking dinner menu and the food was great as a look and taste. We would love to thank the chef Mr. Jatin who was an artist and was checking on us and smiling all the time. Also, we don’t want to forget the cleaners for their wonderful work especially Ms. Nang Yai. We recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again in future. Thanks for everything.

Nothing really comes to mind about what I didn’t like about the property

The hotel is very clean. We had a sea view with pool room and it is worth paying the extra for this although the main pool is big enough and has a swim up bar. The location is great not a far walk to get into the town where there are lots of shops, restaurants, massage places etc. Staff are great, friendly and helpful.

Only thing I can think of is to provide the pool towels at the pool instead of in the rooms - but this is just a suggestion and no criticism. Everything was amazing.

The hotel is visually stunning and the building/rooms are very well maintained. Amazing pool, good restaurants, good breakfast, rooms are spacious - even for a family with kids. I didn’t expect the hotel to be so close to the beach - it’s just a 3 minute walk. It’s just as close to the beach as the beach front hotels. The beach nearby is very nice, not too crowded. Kata is just around the corner which is also a big plus of this hotel. Another important advantage of this hotel was the kids club. Our kids loved playing there. Final note, big shout out to all the staff and the GM. They made our stay even more amazing. We are definitely coming back.

The only thing I would say is, maybe more sun loungers.

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks we were recommended by a friend that stayed here last year, we were not disappointed, room was spacious we had the mountain view room with balcony, hotel staff were do friendly and helpful, pool was a good size very busy, we used to go to the beach which a 5 minute walk. Really good location. Food at the hotel was delicious, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

I wish someone had paid more attention to the reserved beds around the pool. There are signs saying that staff will remove towels but I didn't see any evidence of this happening. A small gripe but did not affect us much as we were out most of the day and just sat around the pool bar when we returned.

Amazing stay for 2 nights to finish what had been a superb holiday. When we arrived we were given a free upgrade with a whirlpool bath which was just amazing. The pool area was fab, although other guests did reserve beds with their towels and then never used them all day. This is my only gripe. The Char'd restaurant was just delicious as well. Quite a walk from restaurants and bars outside of the hotel but tuk tuks are readily available and very cheap. I would definitely visit again. Breakfast is varied and staff are friendly.

Pool area is too busy mostly difficult to get a place on the sun beds. Limited choice of food for half board for lunch/dinner.

Nothing really, this was the perfect spot for a romantic holiday

The room was beautiful. It has plenty of space, it super comfortable and clean. The breakfast menu is extensive and food was fresh and tasty. The location is a short walk to Karon beach and is equal distance to Karon district and Kata district (recommend Kata night markets for dinner)
