There is some renovation going on in the restaurant area that was a bit noisy but looks fabulous when it opens. The kids pool was also closed for the first week of our stay. But there was plenty to do anyway

Really, the only issue is the noise! In the evenings there are DJs playing, the music is great but it carry’s across the resort - I imagine it’s worse the closer you are to the restaurant and the rooms are not well sound-proofed. If you were a light sleeper or have small children I would request to be the far end of the resort closer to the entrance! They are also currently renovating some areas as it’s low-season, this didn’t bother us as there was still plenty of space to eat. However there was some construction noise, on occasion. Additionally, in the time that we were there a lot to the kids facilities were broken and being repaired - not the fault of the property! Rather lazy parents not watching their feral children who were too old to using the facilities, destroying property for amusement.

Arinara is a very welcoming family-friendly resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with our toddler. The rooms are very spacious - the 1-bedroom suite, specifically, is ample room for a family. With a large living area, the most comfortable hotel sofa we’ve experienced(!), TV and large terrace/balcony perfect for rainy days. The rooms are situated around the pool which makes it easy to pop down for a swim, with the pool sectioned off into accessible areas that work for families and couples. The breakfast was great, wide range of options including a kid’s section with sweet holiday treats! The Beach restaurant was also fantastic - the menu is ample with every dish we tried (sushi, steak, salmon, Thai) being cooked very well. Starbucks was another welcomed addition. The kid zone with playroom, soft play room, games room and outdoor play area were extremely useful for entertaining a toddler during the week.

Only downside was the rooms seem to condensate a lot which ended up molding on some of bags when we left. Possibly may need more ventilation for rooms without letting mosquitoes in :)

The room availability, we had to wait 3 hours until our room was ready at 15:00 ...dinner was a disaster, , they served the main dish before the appetizers and soups...they brought burnt pizza to the table

Shower temperature and pressure not wonderful but totally doable. In a quiet town so if you’re looking for a local vibe may not be the right place for you, but a lovely place to chill out at the resort.

A great place to stay. Lots of great facilities especially for the kids incl. multiple pools, kids pool, a water slide, a playground, and two playrooms. Lots of food options within the resort to choose from, and great local restaurants nearby. Buffet breakfast fabulous. Staff so helpful and friendly. We stayed in a poolside/garden view room and it was lovely. Really enjoyed our stay. Would happily come back.

We didnt like the mold we found in our room and the fact the receptionist told us we should have done an inspection when we arrived. The hotel is not paying me for this and I don't have license in this domain. One day it was a private event at the hotels bar and because of the position of this bar all guests had restricted access to the bar, restaurant and the beach during this event that lasted for hours from noon until evening. This is embarrassing for any hotel even 2 star and very unpleasant for the guests. That day the hotel forbid me to go to the beach, their employee asked me to do something else because I was not allowed to pass the bar that I had access to when I paid. So even they rented for a private event that day i had also paid for it but they restricted my access. I was very happy it was a single event during my stay, imagine if they had more events.

When we arrived we were told the main pool with pool bar was under routine maintenance. It was completely empty. The pools are a key feature we look for when staying at a resort so this was a huge disappointment. We should have been advised in advance so we could decide whether to proceed with our booking. Fortunately we were only staying 3 days and we had booked the pool access room.

The pool room was fabulous! Service and amenities are excellent. At the time we stayed July it was very quiet which was great for us.

The hotel was full of children. It's made to cater to families and everything is designed for that. This is not a bad thing but just not what we were looking for. Hope this helps others before booking.

Overall the stay was really positive but the checkout experience tainted the experience in a major way. On the morning of checkout my 4 year old knocked over and broke a glass. The glass was then flagged as missing by housekeeping and we where made to pay 300 baht to replace. The glass in question was a standard Ikea glass which can be purchased for a small fraction of this price.

I was a bit worried when I read some negative reviews about this hotel but thankfully we had nothing to worry about as our 5 night stay was fabulous! The garden view pool access room was fabulous for our family with older teenagers. It was on the back of the hotel so backing onto a quiet garden area rather than the main pool that was much busier and louder. Great to have our own balcony and quiet pool area. The room was huge with plenty of room for 4 of us. Comfy beds, the main pool area was excellent and the breakfast options were the best we have had in a long time. They even had a coffee cart making different types of Thai teas and coffees as part of the breakfast. Impressive! Loved that it was right on the beach, close to local beach restaurants, massages and the actual beach. Our teens loved playing in the ocean for hours while we had drinks at a local beach restaurant. You can also wander to market type shops along the street. We had the best time here.

Unfortunately the pool was being renovated when we arrived. There was still another pool to use. But it needed doing as there were broken tiles. Will be great once all completed. Was told the laundry was 50bht a bag special offer on. Turns out it was 50 just to buy the Laundry bag. It ended up over 1400bht. Mix up of language and communication. 🤣 I don't think they should be charging for a bag with such high rates to wash.
