United KingdomThey have ongoing refurbishments, work being carried out at breakfast restaurant and at the back of the main building. It did not really have an impact on my stay.
Staff were polite and helpful, the location is perfect as it's minutes away from all the bars and restaurants as well as a short walk to the beach. The hotel has two lovely pools , well maintained and serving cold beverages and food. You can get cheaper hotels but the Areca is worth the cost, I have stayed here before and have always enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back again.

Location great. Both pools looked great but didn't use them. Room itself was really good (Luxury family room) for me, my partner and her adult daughter.

AustraliaBathroom in my luxury room was back packer style ( who still uses plastic curtains ? ), grotty flooring, stained mirror, a total let down in otherwise great room. Front reception staff pretty much uncaring ( especially one big spectacled guy ), unlike all other great staff in resort.
WIFI works well. A/C working well. Both pools well looked after. Great location. Mainly very friendly staff.
