Amazing stay here, right on the beach with a large bedroom/bathroom and massive balcony to relax on. The shower was the best I've ever used and the included shower gel etc were high quality. The room smelt very clean and was spotless on arrival. Teas and coffees included. If you get buffet breakfast included, it was the best breakfast we've had during our travels so far with lots of food and drink options, you can even ask them to cook eggs for you. Also the comfiest bed we have been in so far, didn't want to get out of it. Staff always very lovely and accommodating. Good happy hour cocktails too!

Disappointing instant coffee at breakfast. Breakfast not starting till 8am. I cannot remember any place, anywhere I've stayed, starting breakfast at such a late hour..

The resort is compact without being cramped. Room was clean and spacious and had a large balcony. Bed, very comfy. Staff, including the gaffer were great. Good buffet breakfast. Had 2 other meals in the restaurant - one Thai, one western - both very good.

Space restrictions mean the pool is quite small. The shower doesn’t always deliver hot water and the water pressure is low.

Great location next to the beach with a range of shops and restaurants nearby. Nice, clean room with a decent balcony. Pretty good buffet breakfast.

The only thing I would say is that the mini bar prices were too high, that's only because there was a 7 eleven next door, which meant we used that instead. Also the room could have had more fresh drinking water available.

We were originally booked into a room which was up stairs and was not very accessible due to an injury. The staff changed our room and upgraded us without charge without any fuss. I really appreciated their help and the room and resort was lovely. Right on the beach. Just what was needed.

Unfortunately poor snorkelling in comparison to Ko Ma. It would have been nice for staff to give me a brief about the facilities on offer (e.g. free standup paddle board hire and activities on offer in that location). Room was old but clean and relatively quiet at night.

Great bar manager, very friendly & extremely helpful but the in house restuarant food was average & oily. Luckily plenty of alternative options very close by. Easy beach access but tide was always out meaning you could only wade in shallow 500mm of water before being confronted with rocky area.

Spacious well appointed room with large balcony overlooking the pool. Very confortable bed & well air-conditioned. Located right on the beach front, with a choice of bean bags, chairs or sun lounges along the beach. Located close to many other restaurants.

I could hear the very loud family next to me. Reception closes early.

It was centrally located. The beach was nice. The art market was within walking distance. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast easily accommodated my fruitarian diet. The room was large with its own outside porch/balcony. The porch was furnished with a couch, a table, and a laundry drying rack. The room included bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths.

What a gem of a place! I had an amazing stay at the lovely Amara Beach Resort in Haad Yao, Koh Phangan. I enjoyed it so much that I extended and extended my stay, not wanting to go anywhere else. I will begin by mentioning the very lovely, friendly, helpful and attentive staff, who made my stay so pleasant and welcoming. From the wonderful manager Michaela to reception, housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, restaurant and kitchen staff, I really felt so well looked after by all. I love, love, love the beachfront location on this very beautiful beach, as well as being so close to a shop, laundry and a variety of food options. There is also a great onsite restaurant and the fantastic buffet breakfast is a real highlight. The rooms are extremely clean, spacious and comfortable, with all amenities and services you may need (fridge, mini bar, kettle, great air con, excellent WiFi, warm shower, safety box, terrace/balcony, daily housekeeping). The beds deserve a special mention, because they really are so very comfy! You can also easily arrange taxi transfers and fantastic tours and day trips through reception. The pool and grounds are maintained really well and there is a very lovely atmosphere and feeling being here. I always felt so very safe, easeful, comfortable and cared for. I am truly grateful for my stay at Amara and delighted to share my heartfelt recommendation.

The swimming pool water filtration system need to be fixed. The water was not clean. The water pressure system need to be adjusted so that you have normal pressure in the room. The ventilator in my room was making loud noise, I had to turn it of and use AC instead.

Lovely hotel on a beachfront with small swimming pool and lively restaurant. The hotel was beautifully covered with lot of flowers and jungle vibes. Good quality breakfast. All employees were very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant. Definitely recommend to stay in the hotel. I extended my stay few times and returned to the same hotel few times. I am planning to comeback in the future and recommend to my friends.

Not a complaint just a heads up to anyone booking that the pool is quite small and not very private but at least they have one! Also the sea is right in front of the hotel so we didn't use the pool much at all.

Amazing hotel. Extremely friendly staff. Beautiful beach bar with great food. We could rent a scooter from the hotel and as they only had one, I could rent another one from a neighbouring place but was allowed to park in front of the Amara hotel. We really enjoyed our stay - it's perfect for couples looking to have a quiet escape which for us was perfect after the full moon party. Would stay again :)

This was our favourite place we’ve stayed in Thailand (we’ve been here 6 weeks!) The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s stunning. The breakfast is INCREDIBLE. we had an early tour one morning (before the buffet opened) and they arranged anything we wanted from the menu to be ready for us so we could still have food before we went on the tour!
