Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South KoreaThe walls are very thin and the rooms are small. You can hear all the noise from the streets and between rooms. One night, the room next to us had a party and we were up until at least 3 am. The noise from the street is unavoidable however due to the location.
The location of the hotel was wonderful. In the heart of Chinatown and near all modes of public transport. It was also in the middle of most places, making transport very easy to all parts of the city.

BrazilThere was a fruit market directly under our room which made it smell like durian throughout the day, it’s not the most pleasant of smells.
The location is very nice and everything is very tidy. The atomised glass on the bathroom is super cool and the shower head on the ceiling is definitely a plus because I’m very tall.

SingaporePillows were strange. Very uneven and the beans inside pillows were solidified on one end. Place was clean but looked very worn out. There was a lot of noise from the Air conditioning but still acceptable for myself.
Good location and courteous staff. Price was great therefore overall a good stay.

MalaysiaI wish the toilet had a bidet or water pipe & maybe more hangers as there were only 3 hangers provided.
I like the atomized glass toilet separation, where you can either see your room while you shower or turn it on for more privacy. The bed was comfortable, and basic necessities are provided for a 2 nights stay. They even provide a projector instead of a TV, which is another cool feature in the room.

Location was great, very close to Chinatown metro station, room was small but had all the essentials, bed was super comfy! Wi-Fi was good.

IndonesiaThe sound coming from TV projector's fan was very noisy. Shower drain was clogged. Even though the hotel banned durian inside lobby and rooms, it doesn't work because the hotel is located right above a durian stall so the smell still came from the outside. We love durian and have no problems about it, but we need to tell about it for anyone who can't stand the smell.
Great location in the heart of Chinatown. The room is small but it has more than enough facilities and space for 3 persons. Bed was very comfy.

United KingdomExcellent location in centre of Chinatown Night Markets and close to Hawker Centres and multiple Temples. Upstairs from Durian fruit market so the smell of Durian is quite strong outside the hotel but not inside the hotel. Staff very receptive to changing my room when I told them the Air Con didn’t work in my first room. Cute little rooms, very minimalistic, great for travelling with 2 toddlers as there wasn’t much they could fall off or destroy. Staff allowed me to leave my luggage in the lobby on my last day
