Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe hotel seems a bit worn and services that you expect in a 5 star hotel are missing such as robes and mini bars. We arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight. The hotel was not busy at all but they would not provide a room. We were flying out the next day late at night so I booked a second day. I asked if we could have breakfast on arrival given we would not be there for the second breakfast that was included in our rate. This request was refused as we had not requested earlier. The breakfast room was definitely not busy so it just seem a bit mean.
The hotel is in a beautiful location and surrounded by lovely gardens. The pools are fabulous as well. I love the low rise of the building and the peaceful surroundings. The location is really convenient, close to Clarke Quay and plenty of transport options. We enjoyed the breakfast and having a coffee machine in our room.

AustraliaUnremarkable service. Room decor was a little shabby and showing wear and tear. Mini bar was empty and staff could not provide any room service at 10pm as last orders were at 930 (although they could be seen sitting idly in the lobby). Air condition was difficult to operate. Breakfast was luke warm - coffee was good though.
Well located in a well maintained impressive period building. Coffee was good. Swimming pool was very pleasant.

SpainThe hotel has false marketing on booking.com and on their website. Be careful with what is billed as the 'garden view' of the Premium rooms as the rooms on the 2nd story do not have much of a garden view. It's more like a view of a grass slope, the road to the lobby and a shed. I would have been really upset had a room on the third floor not been available.
The location is lovely if you like being in nature. My partner and I stayed here two nights for a simple wedding at the ROM and a tea ceremony in the room with immediate family. It was a good choice for a fuss free wedding, with a shoot in the morning, the ROM appointment in the evening and a dinner in the Somerset area. I recommend picking a Premium room on the third floor and an adjoining Deluxe room for family stays. The Premium rooms on the second floor are lacklustre - dark, with no view (even though it says "Garden view"). The city view rooms are the ones that have the nicer view, but those are all Deluxe rooms with the toilet/bathroom area facing the courtyard.

AustraliaWe had a Park View Room. Did not enjoy having to lower the blinds all the time because of the two-way nature of the windows. We wanted a room with a view of the Park but we did not appreciate we would need to share the view with passing pedestrians looking back at us.
Overall, our stay was excellent and was what we had hoped for. Quiet and tranquil surrounds and a good location close to restaurants (Clarke Quay) and Transport (MRT)

New ZealandThe pool towels are kept 4 floors from the pools, and the towel person is in a really strange location behind the men’s changing room. Why not leave towels by the pool? The check-in / out counter was understaffed at peak times.
A hotel in a park is unique in Singapore.

Saudi ArabiaMy stay was not entirely a bad one but there are some highlights to consider before you book this hotel The staff: not the most friendly but not rude or anything it's just not the level of a 5 star hotel hospitality The location: the location is good but keep in mind that the hotel is in the middle of a park on top of the hill, so if you're planning to walk anywhere be prepared for a like 5-7 minutes of long stairs The room service food: their pizza is good other than that it's average and they charge in addition to your food bill a "service charge" The rooms: yes it's spacious and clean ( except for the windows which looked like it wasn't cleaned for ages) but keep in mind the rooms are connected together with a door, you can hear other guests speaking or just watching TV, in my opinion the rooms are not quite and there's not much privacy Overall they have nice large rooms, but definitely not a 5 stars hotel experience
The room was spacious and clean

Malaysia- Safety was an issue. One of the contractors (we think? as hotel was undergoing some minor renovations) entered our patio and started yelling early in the morning, woke us up and my husband had to check to see if it was an intruder. When told staff about it, they just said "sorry about the noise". - Irregularities in staff communication/policies (e.g.: upon check-in, I asked if we have to pay the full amount upfront, staff said no. Upon check-out, we were told we were supposed to pay upon check-in by another staff member, which I had to clarify that their staff mentioned we were only supposed to pay upon check-out.)
- Bed was very comfortable, my husband had the best sleep :) - It was clean and the location was good, easy to get around the island.

United Arab EmiratesThe breakfast was not to a satisfactory standard, the quality and range of food. the yogurt pots were out of date and caused tummy upset for the children. Small attention to detail, like not having a completely blunt bread knife all matter when paying premium. This hotel has a lot more potential but should remove the Michelin star archived at 2018. coupled with that we requested a taxi to the airport which didn’t for our luggage, again small attention to details. The staff were however very friendly but to keep up to date with its counterparts these aspects need upgrading.
The staff, location and setting was wonderful as was the gym. The bathrooms and views were spectacular.

AustraliaGenerally speaking, I am happy with the experience offered by the hotel. Just minor things like the tap water was leaking, and there was no spare toilet paper in the bathroom(but it was available as soon as we requested it by telephone). And we called the restaurant downstairs just to order our dinner at the table, but we have been charged extra for a "room service"

SingaporeThere are no amenities close by. Had a problem with the payment; I booked a free cancellation and paid on the hotel.. A few days prior to my stay, they held the money and claimed that if I paid with the same card on that day, the money they were holding would be subtracted from my payment. Nevertheless, the receptionist informed me on the actual day of my stay that this only applies to credit cards and not debit cards, and I was not made aware of this. Thus, a total of $800+ was taken out, and I would receive $400+ back in 14 to 21 days. I am aware that the bank takes a while to refund the funds that you guys have on hand, but when I contacted a few days ago, the right information wasn't supplied to me. Instead of just using credit cards, I hope you'll think about debit cards as well. Being twice deducted and receiving the money back within a month will be extremely challenging.
The room is clean, and the view was perfect.
