Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandBreakfast was a real let down. The food was almost inedible 3 days of our 4 days stay. Keep it simple but good quality. Change caterer as they are serving rubbish food. Otherwise I would have rated the hotel higher.
Location was great. Staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. Room was well equiped.

AustraliaRooftop pool/spa unusable due to being in sun alot of the time so nowhere to cool off at end of the day. Courtyard could also do with an upgrade. Aircon was very loud. And rooms definately need updating. We had 2 loft rooms and there was huge water damage holes that had been taped together in one of the bathrooms
Room size was amazing, layout was great and plenty of room for 2 adults and 1 child

NetherlandsWe had a loft room with a pull out ‘sofa’ bed. Actually just a stretcher type bed with a thin mattress. Very disappointing to see only plastic being used for breakfast (plates, cutlery, cups).
Great location. Easy walking distance to major locations. Good choice of restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Friendly and helpful staff. With the loft room we had 2 bathrooms.

GermanyNew wing: We booked a room in the new wing. The new wing is accessible via a seperate entrance. So if you like to use the pool or have breakfast, you have to leave the building and enter the building 4 meters away. This is fine for breakfast but for using the pool it is a little inconvenient. Breakfast: just skip it and grab something to eat at Clarke Quay, Chinatown or on the go. Room: Unfortunately the apps at the TV didn't work as it wasn't connected to the wifi properly. The hotel staff couldn't help with this issue.
Location: The location is just perfect. The hotel is very close to China Town but also to Clarke Quay and boat Quay. Room: The room was exceptionally clean. The design of the room was very modern and pretty. For a tiny room, the TV wad huge. Staff: The hotel staff was very friendly.

AustraliaThe room was very small. Not big enough to leave 2 suitcases open.
The location was excellent. We could walk to many places or it was a short walk to the subway which was very easy to navigate. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We were having trouble with our flight and the staff member couldn’t do enough for us. We were very grateful.

United StatesAlthough I had an overall positive experience here, I still believe there are few things that could be improved. I was a little shocked to see no bidet in the bathroom, however, I acknowledge that bidets are a little harder to come across in Singapore right now. I don't know if it was just my room, but all of the windows were locked. The room started to showed its wear and tear with the peeling wallpaper. The pool area could also use some love and care, as the pool water wasn't very clean, and the wooden deck was losing its color. The room was mostly clean, however, when I dropped something underneath the bed, there was a bunch of dust and lint, and something that belonged to a previous guest under there. Some bathrobes would be nice to compliment the bathtub in the room.
Although I stayed here with my friends, I booked separate rooms, so I will be speaking on mostly my behalf in terms of my room. We took the MRT from the airport, and walked about 10-ish minutes from the station with all of our luggage. I loved the location of this hotel. It's a short walk to Clark Quay, the MRT train station, and Chinatown. There are a couple of 7-Eleven convenience stores, restaurants, and a laundromat very close to the hotel. There is plenty of nightlife and restaurants in the Clark Quay area. My room was spacious (Premiere Double Room), much larger than the room my friends stayed in (Executive Twin Room). I had plenty of room to store my luggage. The bed was firm (as expected in South East Asia), but still spacious and comfortable. There was ample lighting in the room, and the AC worked well. The Wi-Fi was very fast and reliable, and there were many channel selections on the TV. I appreciated the stocked water and coffee everyday. There is an ice machine and water dispenser in the lobby. Speaking of, the lobby smelled nice. The staff were friendly, and made our check-in and check-out process smooth. My room included a soaking tub, which I made sure to take advantage of during my stay. It took awhile to fill up, but it was clean and worth the upgrade. There was toothbrushes provided, and a frequent restock of toiletries and replacement of towels when used. I appreciate the fridge in the room, given how fast food spoils in Singapore's lovely but humid climate. That saved me from having to throw away a bunch of leftovers and other perishable foods. The room I stayed in also had plenty of windows, letting in natural light and a partial view of the iconic Marina Bay Sands.
