Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

SwedenThe house is really a fantastic space for groups or families travelling together. (We were 10 on a golf trip playing Båstad GK). The rooms are clean, fresh and everything you could ask for. Two large bathrooms excellent. Access was quick and easy with door code, host was very quick to answer any questions / queries from booking right through to staying. 100% would really really recommend. I would return to venue for future trips.

NorwayCeiling height is very low (approximately 175 cm) in the large part of the apartment. I am 188 cm and I struggled a lot. I had very often to walk around with bent neck. In addition, two bedrooms don't have door and the third one has a door but doesn't have window. This applies only to Crocus Hill, 6-bed loft apartment with sloped ceiling. Other apartments do not have this problem.
Nice location, quiet, with large free parking for cars and bicycles. Close to the supermarket and not very far from the town center. The apartment is recently refurbished with a well equipped kitchen. It has large windows and plenty of light.

SwedenIt wasn't clear what things we needed to provide for ourselves therefore we had no toilet paper, dishwashing detergent, coffee, etc. We were able to access a grocery store easily but would have liked to know this beforehand as well. Other people staying in the building played very loud music both of the nights we stayed.
The view and the apartment overall were nice. Some added charm being a former train station.

SwedenBeing a penthouse under a roof with steep inclination, the ceiling height got to us - it is very low in big parts of the apartment. However, if you don't mind ducking every here and there, you'll be fine. People with disability shouldn't consider this since there is no elevator and a steep staircase up to the attic. If you can book any of the other two apartments in the same building, I have a feeling you will be much better off.
The old station house is a beautiful brick building in a good location not too far from downtown Båstad. The penthouse we stayed in, Crocus Hill, was recently restored in light, Scandinavian design. Stylish and with a well equipped kitchen. The solution with code locks was excellent and the host was very helpful.
