To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United States of AmericaThis is a good enough and safe place to stay in Stockholm, outside of the center of town and maybe 5+ minutes walk to the trolley + train (25 min. or so) to the center. It is a newer/modern area of town and with a convenient supermarket next to the trolley stop. The trolley goes to a hipster area with a promenade along the water, free ferry to cross the water and many restaurants/bars/brewpubs. As described in the listing, please note that it is a shared small 2 bedroom/1 bathroom condo space with a young couple (Chinese and Swedish). There are clearly labeled spots to put guest food in the fridge/cabinet and toiletries/towels in the bathroom. There were good blackout curtains in the bedroom and a very comfortable bed. The hosts kindly shared their living/dining/kitchen area with guests and it included free use of the washer/dryer. Molly was gracious to offer us smart phone tips of how to get metro train tickets via an app and other pointers. When Molly and her partner weren't home, that allowed us more private time to spread out beyond the small bedroom-thank you! They were responsive to washing their dishes, floor sweeping and garbage emptying requests when we asked.

HungaryIf you're looking for a home for the time of your stay in Stockholm, this is it. I had programs in the neighbourhood, but the Old Town and main tourist attractions are also within reach. The place has good public transport connection.

GermanyEven though I wasn't there for long, I had a really lovely stay at this Stockholm apartment! Both of the hosts were very kind and friendly, the place itself was exactly as described: clean, cozy and comfortable. You have everything you could need provided in this apartment. It is located in quite a new area, so it's a nice neighbourhood and quite close to public transport, which made getting around very easy. Nothing to complain, I enjoyed my time at this place a lot and would definitely stay there again.

GermanyAt our website I didn't see the other pictures. I overlooked that booking.com mentioned the size of 8 squaremeters. So I didn't expect this small room and that the rest of the appartment is shared space. We left the appartment the next morning.
Location was quiet calm, the bed alright.

SerbiaBe aware that this is a room in an apartment two people live in permanently, so usual discretion in terms of privacy and sharing the bathroom is advised. This is hardly a negative, just something to keep in mind.
The people running this are easy-going and helpful. The location is exceptional, very close to public transport points that make getting to the centre very easy. The room is clean and bright.
