Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumJust small things that were inconvenient. Had difficulty with the online checkin and had to contact customer services. Description on Booking.com said there were free toiletries so I didn't bother bringing shampoo/conditioner/ shower gel but there was only hand soap provided. Lobby of apartments was not very inviting, not sure if there was some kind of renovation going on. However, none of these things would stop me returning.
Great location with just a 5 minute walk to to the Cathedral. A big supermarket and plenty of cafes and restaurants just outside the door. Kitchenette was clean and well stocked with a lovely little eating area and the room had two comfy chair, so could happily have stayed much longer than my 3 nights.

United KingdomThe photo shown of the room did not depict the room given. The photo shows a family room (sofa, table and chairs, twin beds) but the room was a double bed, table and chairs and smaller.
Good location, communal space with free tea and coffee, practical - would be a good choice if travelling for work. When I had to call the 24/7 customer line about the allocated room twice, both times the call was picked up within a few rings and the responder (especially Annika) helpful both times.

SerbiaAn early check in fee was supposed to be additional 200+ SEK but only an hour before was free. The fact that the rules were such that I got worried that if we dont follow them strictly we might get fined, and I got a bit worried. It was mostly for ppl cooking sth smelly and leaving the smell entrapped in the room. Or for people not taking out their trash after themselves which is somehow not included in the cleaning fee. And the cleaning fee along with the room price is high enough for that to be included.
I liked the level of security and the automatic interaction with the hotel. Everyone gets a dedicated room code and can use it to open the entrance and the elevator. The lounge area looked nice altho we didnt use it. The room looked impeccably clean altho I can never be sure about the floor, whether the cleaner walked in their shoes or not. The kitchen was well equipped and nothing was damaged. It had.cuttlery unusual for the hotels such as cheese peeler and a Swedish butter knife. There were paper towels, washing liquid and a new sponge for new guests. Or it looked new at least. We each got two towels and little soaps and the bathroom was designed gorgeously. The ceiling windows were nice and had shutters. The bed was comfy. The iron and ironing table were included as well as a dryer for hair. Im glad we were able to check in an hour before without any additional fee. They care about the environment and have many rules about the trash separation. The hotel was super central and very close to a big supermarket Coop

NetherlandsWe stayed at this location before, right before the pandemic and maybe under previous ownership (?), so there was still a staffed front desk. Now, it’s a remotely-operated hotel, which can be fine, but for us at least, it would have felt nicer (and safer) with someone behind the front desk. Also, the mattress was quite old, so I did have some back pain issues afterwards, unfortunately.
Centrally located in town, spacious rooms, clean upon arrival, kitchenette at your disposal. At this price point (€75/night), it’s perfectly fine.

United KingdomNo real reception but the caretaker was helpful . Parking was accessible but Very expensive . Had to pay for extras like a child cot which was about £20 a day … So paying for extras made the apartments more expensive than advertised ..
Close to Lund Centre . The apartment was ok for 1 person but too cramped for a couple and a baby in one apartment. Kitchen area

AustraliaIt’s a bit spooky letting yourself into the property and finding your way to your room down a very long hallway with no windows. But, all is okay once you access your room. The laundry room is a shambles. There are two washing machines and two tumble dryers, which need to be booked. They are apparently numbered, but only one of the dryers has a number in it. The laundry is hard to find and is filthy. One lift says it’s on level 2, the other lift says level 3. Level 2 is in two parts, so you need to know which stairwell/lift to use. Fortunately the night guard showed me where it was. Despite all this, the machines work well. The rooms are hot in summer and there is no aircon or fan. The windows open, but the apartments overlook a noisy street (it services the adjacent shopping centre) on one side and a busy car park on the other side.
The location is fantastic, the rooms are spacious and well appointed and there is a guest laundry. All access, including check-in and check-out is contactless. The building and room are accessed via a code, as is the luggage storage room and garbage room. The wifi is excellent. There’s a large living room in the lobby with books, a big television and books.

South KoreaWhen there were some big steps, my room ceiling, floor, and wall were shaken. It was a bit stressful. It would be good if the room had a shampoo.
The room had a desk, a sofa with a foot rest, dining table for two people. These were good for use. And the staff replied so fast. Thanks for that. The location of the hotel was good. It was next to a residence building so always silent. Because it was located in the city center, markets, restaurants, a library, bus stops, and other facilities were in walking distance.

SwedenThe room furniture is a bit worn and generally feels a bit old. There was some mold in the shower walls. The laundry room was a mess and not very clean. There is no permanent staff, so if there are issues, the only way to get help is to contact customer service. However, they quickly responded and sent someone to help when we had a problem.
The best thing about this property is its location. It is in the Lund city center, close to everything. The room was pretty spacious and had everything needed for a prolonged stay. It was very easy to get the check-in instructions, and we had no issues at all with accessing the property. It has a pretty big common area with some games a lots of tables.

United StatesOur coffee machine didn't work, it was broken. They replaced it later in the afternoon. The sink in the bathroom was slow to drain. They had mini pool table and air hockey table downstairs in the common areas, though the cues were broken. It would be good if they put a portable fan in the rooms.
For the price this place is great. We spent just over $100 a night for a family of four. The room was big enough and had a table and cooktop along with cookware. We made dinner and breakfast. While there were minor issues, the fact that the savings were passed on to us, made this place worthwhile. The location is great as well. There was staff on premise and when I contacted the hotel by phone and messaging, they were prompt in their response.
