To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SwedenWhen we arrived I was trying to get my two young children inside the door with a pram and lots of bags. We were welcomed by a very rude staff member talking through a speaker on the wall saying Can you hurry up I don’t have all day. Not a great first impression especially as we were trying to get in as fast as we could.

IrelandIt didn't effect us but people booking here should know that the stairs which are completely in keeping with the beautiful old building are quite difficult to carry heavy bags up and so this is only suitable if you can carry and manage your luggage easily.

BulgariaI made a reservation for three but when we get in the apartment, there were no sheets, towels, etc. for the third person. we had to make a call to ask where we can find them. we were told that there is a separate room on the upper floor of the building but we found only towels there. we called again but the contact person didn't know so had to wait for a call back. no call back followed. at the end it turned out that the sofa is foldable and we should unfold it ourselves which made us a little bit angry because we lost 1 hour in waiting for a call back (all the sheets, towels and pillows were put together inside). there were no instructions for that. The heating system was not working, only one electrical radiator but was not enough to warm up two rooms.

They gave room for 2 and never replied plus useless phone support. I met the landlord who said it was not for rental. I suggest removing them from the platform and happy to support landlord in reporting them to the police.
