Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaThe beach was not so good, warning signs about sting rays but the water was so sandy that you couldn't even see them. There was also some seagrass on the beach and although it was cleaned daily, there were still sandflies. After the first day we went to a different beach, we were lucky that we had rented a car. We were supposed to send them our marriage certificate to get their "honeymoon package". Well, the package was probably nothing, or maybe the one bottle of red wine in our room. Incomparable to the other resort that we've been to. Very loud fridge, we had to disconnect it to be able to sleep. And the cherry on top - our card stopped to work on our last day and it took them almost one hour to fix it. During this time we were sitting in front of our room, hot and sweating. The solution was to exchange the batteries in the electronic locks, not that it was nuclear science. We then had only a short amount of time to pack and leave for our ferry.
The hotel was really beautiful, the food was amazing, we also liked the beach bar although the drinks were overpriced compared to the rest of Seychelles. We liked the pool but it was cold at times and too small.

PortugalJust be careful about a skinny guy selling trips to other islands in the beach. He calls himself many names but the hotel knows him and has a photo so just confirm with them before doing any deal with him. He will try to scam you.
The staff was great. Specially Mr. Dias and Mr. Da Silva, very polite and kind restaurant employees. The food was great, gluten free options and awesome location.

ItalyMy wife and I recently chose Le Duc De Praslin as our honeymoon destination, and it exceeded all our expectations in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning beauty of the rooms, which were not only impeccably clean but also furnished to the highest standards of luxury. Every possible comfort was provided, making our stay truly indulgent. The culinary experience at Le Duc De Praslin was exceptional. The food was of the highest quality, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes. Each meal was a delightful experience, and the attention to detail was evident in every dish. The staff at Le Duc De Praslin were incredibly kind and attentive, always available to assist with any need or request. Their warm hospitality made us feel special and well-cared for throughout our stay. Additionally, the resort offers a wide range of activities that kept us entertained and engaged. We particularly enjoyed snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, which was an unforgettable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Le Duc De Praslin to anyone looking for a perfect honeymoon destination or a luxurious getaway. It is a place where elegance, comfort, and exceptional service come together to create an unforgettable stay.

United KingdomNothing….the best hotel we stayed in during our stay
It was our anniversary so we had booked the Honeymoon Suite; the size of the room was perfect, large, spacious with plenty of storage and all the right things in the right places, like sockets. We had a welcome bottle of wine as well as a couples massage and a special seafood dinner. The meal plan was half board and the food was either served in the Cafe des Arts or the hotel. All the food offerings were exceptional whether it was a la carte or the buffet. The staff here are brilliant. Mostly from Sri Lanka their level of service is top notch and everyone cares about the guests.

GermanyThere are some minor details which do not paint a bad picture. Due to the high humidity the rooms smell mouldy. This can be helped with the essential oil diffuser provided by reception. There are no mosquito nets. We did not try the massages which cost upward of 120 euros. The cafe at the beach was expensive for lunch but we enjoyed a couple of cocktails nevertheless.
Le Duc was the best hotel on our Seychelles island hopping tour, so much so that we cancelled the remaining days in La Digue and returned to Le Duc for some relaxing quality time. A lot has been said about the New ocean rooms. They are right by the pool in a child free area. The beach is just a few steps away. The sea was always calm with beautiful views. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the shower and water pressure very good. Any issues with the room were responded to immediately. Two water bottles are complimentary per day, which is very convenient. Cookies and fresh beach towels were provided daily. The gym is very good as well, apparently better than in Raffles, and we spent some time there every day. Most of all we liked the food and the service at breakfast and dinner. Special thanks to the outstanding attentive and consistent service provided by our friends Mohammad and Mr. Da Silva who were always genuinely happy to see us and serve us. It is always the people who make a holiday the best. The food was fresh and varied. We experienced both buffet and a la carte dinners and both options were very good and plentiful. After our return to the hotel we were happy to treat ourselves and give the stomachs a break from the bad food in other places. If we knew better beforehand, we would have spent most of our days in the Seychelles in this hotel.

SwitzerlandVery unprofessional front desk at checkout, we only got a bill for our consummation during our stay. For the room charge we made a prepayment. At checkout we had to pay the balance of more then 1000 Euro, without a bill or information of the remaining amount. The lady at the front desk told us, that it is not possible to provide us a bill or pre-printout of the bill. She offered us to send us an email after payment. So we were forced to pay more than 1000 Euro without having the facts to prove if it is correct or not. We travel a lot around the world, this was the first time we experienced such a uncomfortable situation during checkout.

United Arab EmiratesI can’t find anything bad to say ! IT WAS PERFECT
From the moment we stepped into LE DUC DE PRASLINS, we were enveloped in a welcoming atmosphere that promises a memorable stay. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, combining elegance with an eco-friendly approach that respects the lush surroundings. The rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. But what sets Le Duc de Praslin apart is its staff. The level of service here is unparalleled; each member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that we feel genuinely cared for. Their attention to detail is meticulous, from the perfectly arranged room settings to the personalized recommendations for activities around the island. They are not only attentive but also genuinely friendly and enthusiastic, sharing their local knowledge with a warm smile. A big thanks to Robert and Jeanine and ALL the staff that made our stay unforgettable.

BulgariaWe stayed there between 21 to 28 Mar 2024. The facilities are amazing – the room was spacious and clean with beautiful lighting, great AC, very comfortable furniture. The patio in front of the room had very comfortable garden furniture and we had a very nice swimming pool right in front of it. The restaurant is in the open, surrounded by a beautiful garden! The food was excellent – very delicious, with a lot of choice and very fresh! They accommodated the gluten free diet of my wife with various options and spacial gluten free plate for her. The location is superb – the beach is perfect and Cafe Des Arts (the beach restaurant/club) is super, it is also close to local shops. The garden is amazing and full of more and more hidden places that you discover through your stay there and I'm sure that we missed to see all of them. The staff were very friendly and supported us with booking trips and advising. Overall, it is an amazing place and we plan to return if we can! We would highly recommend the Le Duc de Praslin hotel!

A beautiful hotel, the staff is so nice, friendly and helpful, we didn’t have to stand in the reception for check in, they lead us to the lobby and came to make the check in while we were sitting and served with wet cold Towels to freshen up,And cold lemon grass drinks. We had a small swimming pool stacked to our garden room which was so nice and quiet, the food was great, we just didn’t want to leave.
