Staff seemed to be stretched thin and not looking forward to receiving people. We felt more like a bother than welcome guests.

Staff made no effort, chatting with each other. No AC or fan too hot Shower blocked No tea/ coffer as advertised Breakfast 9 to 11, so of you want to visit Bran castle you miss breakfast. 2nd daybreakfast took 30 mins to arrive including coffee, we seemed to be the last served eventhough not the last to sit. Very disappointing wiuld not return

The room was not very clean, dusty and the shower had mould and cracks in the tiles. The receptionist was not very friendly. I read all the reviews and it was not as described. A cockerel woke us up at 3am and then kept on till we left at 7.40am. Told breakfast was at 7.30am but no one there and dining room locked.

The rooms were clean, spacious, the bed was comfy and the location is great - close to everything downtown. The parking in the back was under construction so the host went out of their way to accommodate free parking in the public one across the street. Breakfast is solid and the staff are really nice people. 10/10 would definitely come back.

Very short staff, is been just one lady is serving and the coffees, the breakfast, cleaning the tables...big shame to the Italian onor need to employ more staff!!!

Unfortunately, it is not what you see on pictures ,very old furniture, the balcony is very unsecured!! I don't recommend this location!

Appoach of staff under average. Poor breakfast, no choice. There was only one relatively small blanket with torn cover on the bed. Really not comfortable for 1adult with 1 kid. Can`t imagine to share it with another aduld person.

Location was great, but that's about as good as it gets at Al Gallo. We've waitet 30+ min on the reception for someone to show up multiple times either for check in or to get some info like the wifi password. Also note that the wifi password is not the same for the 3(?) different wifis and they turn some of them off at night. There was no hot (just warm-ish) water in the shower and a tray full of cigarretes outside our room window from previous guests or other notorious smokers that you can smell thoroughout the property.

Perfect! I came at night by bike, it seemed closed but the cobblestone road next to it, leads to the back where you find a very kind guardian! Left the bike in safety and went up to find a very welcoming and clean room. The next day breakfast and very kind people. Great for visiting dracula's castle! 😀

Everything was great, the location, the room was very clean, you could see the Castle from the window. The host was great, they served breakfast when we wanted. Highly recommended.

Booked a twin room and got a double - we were only there for one night so I couldn't be bothered making a big deal about it. Staff not particularly friendly apart from the guy who greeted us at reception and served breakfast. Shower head in room was broken (but again, only there for one night so couldn't be bothered having them deal with it). Generally not particularly good value for money - would have expected to pay half the price we did. The property was acceptable but I don't know how it has the ratings it has on Booking.com.

Location was good, being very close to the castle and the onsite parking was appreciated. Room was also of a good size.

They sold us a deluxe room, but it was not exactly as described. A guy who smelled on alcohol welcomed us speaking only Romanian and maybe Italian. The “deluxe” room had NO wi-fi. It was 19 degrees inside and no way to make it warmer. There was no brush for the toilet. Wallpapers were unglued. The carpet was burnt many times. Giant dead mosquito hanging from the ceiling and dust on top of wardrobe. 24 hours reception was not available. Instead it was dark and bags with towels from laundry. Last but not least we had a view to the parking and neighbors instead a mountain view.
