Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsParking needs to be paid standard as it is in the front of the hotel, should be maybe included as it is a bit confusing. They didn't had all from the menu when i ordered room service which was a bit not professional I would say. Airco didn't worked, and this is a 4 star hotel...

AustriaThe room was unfortunately not cleaned properly and the breakfast was very expensive considering what was offered. The restaurant was open for only a few hours for lunch and for dinner. They didn’t offer any vegetarian or vegan meals. Despite this, the waiters were very polite and apologised a few times for the limited menu.

United KingdomThe charging station for electric cars is nice, but I wish they were upgraded to more powerful ones, as there are only two stations
We chose the hotel based on its proximity, as we needed to stop for the night before continuing our travel. The receptionists speak excellent English and are very friendly. The room was clean with nice linens, and the bed was very comfortable. A working mini-fridge was available in the room.

United KingdomThe pressure from the shower was not perfect, but it was okay for a quick shower. Our fridge did not work, but I didn’t complain as we arrived late and were leaving early in the morning to continue our trip to the UK.
The location of the hotel is convenient, close to the motorway. The room is a good size and clean. . There was some noise on the upper floor, but when I told the receptionist, it was resolved, so we had a good night's sleep. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the linens were also good. The breakfast is served on the lobby floor and is a bit limited if you are used to a very good breakfast. There isn’t enough fresh fruit, considering it’s the end of summer when there are plenty of fresh produce. The hotel has two charging stations. If you’re travelling from another country, you need to register before charging your car. We were able to charge the car overnight and continue our journey.

A well located hotel in the city center. Offers fair service and the staff is relatively nice. There is parking and the rooms on the upper floors offer a superb view. A recommended place for 2-3 days in Arad

United KingdomBreakfast food was average, not great but not terrible. Toilet flushing power was abysmal. Could be more generous with shower toiletries like shampoo and body wash if you don't want your room serviced everyday.
Had everything you needed from a hotel, reception were friendly and accommodating. Had a decent sized bed, fridge, balcony and a decent hotel bar.

AustriaWIFI was terrible and breakfast and the space it was served in both have room for improvement. also: turns out that one elevator for approx. 160 rooms on 10 floors is not enough. management should maybe consider repairing the 2nd elevator at some point ...
The building, once Arad's former communist flagship hotel underwent some subtle yet very Romanian redecoration efforts since its heydays, most probably by an architect with strong ties to the 1980s north Italian tiling and marble industry. Rooms are spacious and boast a great view of the surrounding city on the higher floors, beds are comfy, staff is helpful and friendly, and the location great.

SerbiaOur room was on the second floor, on the side facing the Mures River. We could not sleep because of the noise created by the hotel's central air conditioning system located on the ground floor. That system is very noisy. You should book a room on the side facing the city. We realized late that there was a lot of noise and we didn't want to ask for a room change, because we were tired and unpacked our things. I blame the hotel staff for not telling us about the loud noise. The toilet bowl is not practical. The bed is not high enough and comfortable.
