“I would like to start this review by saying that if I could then I would rate this property 11/10! This is easily the best hotel stay I've ever had (not only in Tanzania). The hotel is just great, it's not big, but it's amazingly beautiful, everythings fresh and clean. The rooms ar amazing and the service is out of this world. And the staff who works there was one of the kindest and friendliest. But the best thing of this hotel are the Italian family that runs the hotel and also the family that runs the restaurant. We felt so good, welcomed and basically we felt like we've been friends for a long time - they are truly great people and I was sad to leave the hotel. Can't forget to mention the restaurant - 10/10, if you like Italian cuisine then you will love the menu they have as much as I loved it. Everything was so delicous, fresh and versatile. I recommend this botique hotel to everyone! Thank you Lisa for the amazing stay we had.”

“Tembo House Hotel is a wonderful hotel with a perfect location in Stonetown. The rooms are large, with comfortable beds and well functioning bathrooms. Everything is kept spotlessly clean. The pool and the beach right next to the hotel is an added benefit. We can highly recommend this hotel”

“The hotel is in a very convenient location, almost right on the beach, with easy access to a beautiful shoreline, making it flexible for swimming whenever you want. There’s a turtle aquarium at the hotel, which you can visit easily, and a restaurant that offers wonderful food, which pleasantly surprised us with its quality and taste. The staff is exceptionally friendly. You can also walk to the public beach to explore other restaurants and souvenir shops.”
“This is a beautiful, authentic hotel on Stone Town. The location is perfect right in the middle of the town and close to the market and shopping streets. The rooms are decorated beautifully with gorgeous colours and textiles. The rooftop terrace is amazing. The breakfast is excellent. The staff is very friendly. They also organized a tour of Stone Town which I would recommend as it is a bit of a maze, plus you learn more.”
