“We booked to stay over, as we was at a wedding in the local area.
We couldn’t check into the room as it was before check in time, so they gave us a key and a code to the back gate to come in through later in the evening. However they didn’t give us the code to get into the key box to get into the b&b.
This resulted of us trying to get into our room for 40 minutes in the rain. Still with no luck.
We had nowhere to go and had to pay to get a lift home which was 50 minutes away.
Really annoying experience which like of been easily resolved if staff gave clear instructions of how to get into the pub and give us the proper access”
“We had 5 star service from Amy Heather and Laura. They are a credit to the Unicorn and they each went over and above to ensure we were comfortable. There were a couple of minor issues during our stay which were dealt with quickly and in a friendly and professional manner. The area was really quiet, just a short distance from the town. We did not eat in the restaurant but wish we had had time to do so it looked great. Lovely warm atmosphere. The rooms above the pub have recently been refurbished to a very high standard of finish. Lots of free parking. A really good find. Great value.”
