“I had a frustrating experience recently when both hotel managements denied check-in despite me having paid the full amount online. Let me explain the entire scenario:
Initially, I booked and paid for a room at SITA GRAND through Booking.com. I arrived at the hotel around 11 am after taking a taxi from the airport for check-in. Unfortunately, the hotel management refused check-in, stating they do not accept online payments via booking.com. I contacted Booking.com customer care and explained the situation Despite multiple attempts, they were unable to reach the hotel management. Consequently, Booking.com offered to shift my booking to OY0 RITESH GRAND, located 1.3 km away from SITA GRAND.
Before agreeing to this, I specifically asked the Booking.com agent if they had confirmed with OYO RITESH GRAND whether they accepted online payments via booking.com. The agent assured me they had verified and confirmed this. Based on their assurance, around 11:30 pm, I took another taxi to OYO RITESH GRAND, paying approximately Rs. 200 for the ride. However, upon reaching there, the hotel management also denied check-in, citing the same reason of not accepting online payments via booking.com
This experience was both surprising and frustrating, especially after confirming with Booking.com.Searching for accommodation at midnight based on Booking. com's confirmation was a terrible ordeal. I request appropriate action be taken regarding this incident. It seems several hotels in Hyderabad are rejecting online bookings through 0Y0, causing inconvenience and emotional distress to customers
I urge for a thorough investigation into this issue to ensure it does not recur for me or other customers. It appears there may be a disconnect between Booking.com and the hotels regarding payment acceptance policies. This issue needs to be addressed promptly to prevent similar occurrences in the future
