“Excellent communication from the hosts, Tracy was very welcoming when we arrived.
The annex is a lovely, comfortable, clean and relaxing place to stay and is perfect for a little getaway. It is only a 20 minute drive to Alton Towers. Even though you are in Tracy and Kevin's back garden you have all of the privacy you need and have the freedom to come and go via the side of the house without having to see anyone.
A continental breakfast is provided as well as some lovely bread so you can make yourselves some toast if you so desire. There was butter and milk in the fridge which was replenished when we were out for the day.”
“Quiet, comfortable room, plenty of hot water in shower . Great breakfast and worth getting b and b when booking”
“Staff were great as was location”
“Everything about our stay was lovely! We were the only couple staying and yet everything was done to the highest standards. If you get a chance, have dinner at the restaurant as the Thai food is the best we’ve ever had.”
“Good access from M6. Lots of parking. Close to cafes and restaurants.”
“Lovely accommodation
Incredibly peaceful
Having the use of the swimming was an added bonus”
“Well furnished cosy room”
“The staff and incredible value for money”
“We have stayed at the Wheatsheaf a good number of times and the staff welcome is always friendly and efficient, we didn't know when booking but Wednesday the night we were staying is Steak night in the restaurant and the evening meal was delicious and excellent value, one of us is coeliac so requires a gluten free diet, all the staff have a good understanding of this and the kitchen offer excellent choices gluten free, breakfast is always a lovely start to your day.”
“The staff were all really friendly and happy to help. They arranged early check in for us and then there was an issue with the restaurant and a staff member really kindly offered to make sandwiches and chips if we needed to eat. They also pointed us in the direction of the local McDonalds (which is really conveniently close by), for if we needed more food. The staff were a lovely team. The room was tidy and clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent and I loved that you could personalise the cooked breakfast items. A really good stay - thank you”
