  “The Harmony Hotel has a prime location , a side street from West Street with everything close by . Even so it is a quiet old courtyard hotel , romantic and peaceful . Upon arrival food was prepared for us . And breakfasts are à la carte so you get as much as you want and exactly what you want . The rooms are spacious , the beds hard and you can sit outside your room in the yard . The owners and their son are amazingly helpful and speak English fluently . The lady of the house - should I say the Empress ? - arranged tickets for “ Another glance at Pingyao “ and drivers to Zhangbi castle the Wang Compound . Highly recommended .”

  “Great location, very authentic guesthouse in the main street. Silent enough at night. Great air con and overall a very convenient stay. We had an extra large bed that was very comfortable. We loved the breakfast and it was good value for the money we paid. We found out that the Didi App didn't work to get there and taxis leave you outside the city walls, in the South West door, for 20-25 Euro ( we agreed on the taximeter). It was ok for us, but sharing here so you are aware of the 15 minutes walk from where they drop you off.”
