“The owners were sooo lovely, and really made the stay nice. Great location just a short walk from the main plaza. Yummy breakfast. We found this property to be much better value for money than many others nearby. We were also able to do laundry at a small fee which was very helpful.”

The staff were so friendly and eager to help, despite the language barrier.
It's in a great location in San Gil, just a straight walk to the main plaza. The entirety of where we explored in San Gil felt safe, even in the evenings
Everything was spotless, the bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The pool was a great addition to cool off in. The bed was comfortable if slightly creaky. Good strong fan in the room.
The hostel has an abundance of friendly animals to meet as well, including 3 dogs who were always so excited to see us return, a cat, 2 tortoises and goats.
We would have loved to have stayed longer at the Green Door in San Gil, but unfortunately had already booked our next stop. San Gil itself if a great laid back city in the mountains. There are a lot of adventure sports on offer, but also plenty of opportunities to slow down. Highly recommend visiting.”
