“Hotel Edda is situated next to a great swimming pool. The breakfast is excellent and our room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is also near beautiful hiking trails. We enjoyed our stay there.”
“Friendliness at reception.
Good Restaurant.
Simple but comfortable rooms without TV.
The Hotel is a school during the school term, with the rooms used as a hotel during the summer.
Plenty of parking space.
Very good and complete breakfast.”
“Historic building, great atmosphere, comfortable bed, hot tub on-site with HOT water! Rooms come with bathrobes for going to soak. Restaurant has delicious food too.”
“Hotel very close to the center (2 minutes walk).
Friendliness at reception.
Small but modern and comfortable room.
This was one of the rare hotels I've been in Iceland where the curtains allowed total black out, which is extremely relevant in the Icelandic summer.
Good parking space.
Very good varied and complete breakfast, however the restaurant is small so some of the customers had breakfast in the reception hall.”
“Excellent location with direct walking access to one of the most beautiful attractions on Lake Mývatn.
Very complete breakfast with cereals, yogurt, milk, coffee, tea, nuts, juices, bread of different varieties, various fruits including berries...
Good restaurant.
As we arrived after 9pm, we were only able to dine on home-made pizzas.
Spacious and comfortable room.
Plenty of parking space”
“This was our 2 night treat in a 10 day self-driving tour. The town has a spectacular setting surrounded by mountains which one can enjoy from the hot pool. Our room had a view over the harbour and had everything one could wish for - eg bath robes provided for the spa. Breakfast was excellent and enjoyed with views over the water with a full range of hot and cold options. The sweet pickled herring was a delight. The town is very walkable. The Diamond Circle via Godafoss, Lake Myvatn, Dettifoss and Husavik is doable in a day, allowing time for a dip in the geothermal baths at Myvatn and fish and chip supper in Husavik. Hope to return some day.”
“It's a capsule with everything you need. Each capsule had its own TV were you could watch your own movies (shared from your mobile/tablet).
You shouldn't be too tall >1,90m or you might have it less comfortable.”
