“The owner and staff were absolutely lovely. The owner met me when the taxi arrived and took me to the Riad - it's through the small streets so I didn't have to navigate the streets myself. He was super friendly and so keen to help in anyway possible. When I arrived I was served tea and biscuits, and he gave me some advice for the city. As a solo female traveller this made me feel much more at ease.
It was the small things that made my stay even better. He told me if there was anything I wanted from the souks I should ask him the actual price so that I won't be overcharged, and he gave me some recommendations for my stay. I had some activities booked through a tour company and I was having trouble getting hold of one of the tour guides, he even took this issue off my hands and found out the missing details for me while I went and explored the city.
The staff at the Riad always greeted me with a smile and asked how my day was, they were so friendly and accommodating, I felt so safe and comfortable there. The Riad itself is in a fantastic position, it is around a 10 minute walk to the souks and only a 15 minute drive from the airport, but you do not hear any of this, at nighttime it is silent and peaceful.
I really enjoyed my stay there. There was air conditioning, WIFI, transport to and from the airport and I had breakfast on the roof each day - which is a really wonderful way to start any day. I absolutely recommend this as a place to stay, especially if you want somewhere small, intimate and away from large groups of tourists.”
