“Pleasantly surprised! I needed to get somewhere near Tarbert and everything was booked up so chose the Grey Gull despite not having the best reviews. Don't be put off by them as this is a hidden gem. It's a beautiful old building with a bit of history and has a fantastic character and atmosphere. It may need a bit of work here and there, but it's rather modern inside. I loved my room at way at the top. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Despite being next to the road, the window was really sound proofed. Watching the moon rise and sunrise was amazing. I also had dinner there which was delicious and treated exceptionally well by the staff. Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming.Definitely recommend.”
