“This is a homestay, does not include breakfast. We can home-prepare the food or dining out. The host supplied drinking water, stove, gas, all kitchen utensil.”
“Cockroaches were all over the place and it was dirty and dusty. Broken window! Internet and TV were not working on a daily basis. Management requested to shift 2 because of other bookings!
Very uncomfortable and I did not enjoy the holiday!”
“The room was plush and extremely comfortable. Amazing mattresses, and super clean bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very polite and accommodating. The hotel is located in the heart of the busy thamel area.”

Short walk to grocery store where credit card accepted. Host was friendly and helpful.”
“Comfort of home, beautiful scenic views and Nepali hospitality all fused together to make Prakriti what it is. It not just a resort, it is an experience.
For a long time I had been wanting to take a vacation that feels right to me, allowing me to build a deeper connection with people and the earth, and do so in a sustainable way that does not harm the ecology. I randomly saw a YouTube video about Prakriti and within the same month I was packing my things and flying to Nepal because I needed to see this for myself. While it was as beautiful and serene as I had hoped, the experience was beyond my expectations in some ways. No camera can capture the peaceful night as you are looking down into the valley and a mystical red moon rises from above the hills. No video can capture the beauty of the prayer flags flapping in winds. No review can fully convey the taste of food, made with care and healthy goods. I guess you have to see it yourself to believe it.
The peace I felt atop this hill was incomparable. I hiked up to Dhaap Dam and down to Haibung village during day times. These were some of the most interesting (very solitary) hikes I have been on. Sometimes not a soul in sight for miles. Just you, your questions. Perfect place to have a conversation with the divine, right? This is the gift of Prakriti that I will always truly appreciate.
Staying at Prakriti, it felt like being at home with family. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Prem ji and others go out of their way to ensure your comfort and ease. One of the main owners himself drove me on the atrocious path up the hills to reach the resort. On the way we found a stranded family whose car broke down. So we gave them a lift up to the resort. This is how community takes care of each other. Not seeing humans as business opportunities but as people who you care for and build meaningful relationships with.
At Prakriti, they give you the whole tour and explain everything.”
“My recent stay at a homestay in Kathmandu turned out to be an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to the incredible host and his warm-hearted family. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and treated like part of their own family.
The host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our stay. What truly stood out was his genuine interest in making sure we not only felt at home but also experienced the richness of Kathmandu's culture and surroundings. He took the time to personally guide us through the neighborhood, pointing out hidden gems and sharing fascinating stories about the area's history.
His hospitality was unmatched. Despite having traveled extensively before, I've never encountered such personalized care and attention. The host's dedication to providing a memorable stay was evident in every little detail,
Staying at this homestay wasn't just about accommodation; it was about forming meaningful connections and gaining insights into local life. The host's passion for his community and willingness to share it with visitors left a lasting impression on me.
If you're looking for more than just a place to stay in Kathmandu, I highly recommend this homestay. You'll not only find comfort and a cozy atmosphere but also experience firsthand the warmth and hospitality of one of the best hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.”
