“We were made very welcome by Becky and shown to our room. The room was clean with comfortable beds, reasonably basic otherwise. 15th century plumbing (very noisy). Very small shower cubicle.”

  • Black Bull Godmanchester Review score: 9

“There is no breakfast, but we highly recommend the Grand Piano Café in Godmanchester High Street, next to Thelma's Flowers. The rooms are very clean, well-equipped and everything in good working order. A hair-dryer and ironing board are available on request. Lovely owners; very friendy.”

“A lovely little gem and Sam the man was incredibly hospitable!”

  • “Simon was a great host and very welcoming, the property was very clean and quiet with excellent facilities and it is set in some lovely countryside. I spent one night there as a stopover but will try to get back with a little more time to explore the surrounding countryside.”

  • Dog and castle Review score: 10

“Staff and chalet great food great. Going back soon”

  • “The arrangements for booking in were emailed before our arrival and required the use of key codes to enter the building. But everything was straightforward. We met the caretaker the following morning and he was both friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental and was both tasty and sufficient. Because the weather was good, we were able to eat it at a table provided outside. The site was secluded and peaceful with a large garden to wander around. The village itself is quiet and attractive with several thatched cottages yet only a short distance from a major trunk road. The site is less than a 20 minute drive from a Park and Ride hub near Cambridge and we conveniently reached our destination in the centre of the city.”
