One of the rooms had a musty smell.

The building and rooms were out of a fairy tale, the kids LOVED it. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Parking was included and the location was wonderful in a cute town.

Hard to regulate the water temperature and the plug of the bathtub didn't work (you couldn't close it completely)

Beautiful place with stunning views from both on top of the tower and my room. Staff is so lovely, the lack of English did not bother me at all. Great location and comfy bed. Decent breakfast altho for the 2nd day they could have replaced the ham since it looked a bit old

The shower was a little weak, and the temperature slightly temperamental. But it's what you would expect given the age and style of the building. Not a massive deal to be honest

Very spacious and comfortable, fantastic breakfast, great views. It was a novel experience staying at a small castle! Also within walking distance to the forest and Cruz Alta. Would definitely stay again

The kitchen everyone can use could be cleaned again (old ingredients everywhere)

The host was very nice - even tho she did not speak English we were able to communicate. The house is more than 130 years old and an amazing and lovely building. You feel like a time traveller. Breakfast was good and you got everything you wanted.

Experience in November: the autumn surroundings visually suited this house, it felt as if we were the characters of a historical movie. There were few visitors, it felt like everything was for us. The main thing was the historical environment, we lived like in a museum. The usual breakfast was made special by the tableware and the atmosphere. Eggs with bacon were served straight from the pan from the kitchen, for those who wanted it. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were also in a different selection, and the bed linen was excellent. It was the time of the autumn fogs, but we got a heater in the room, without it all these gorgeous surroundings would have been unbearably cool and damp (the bathroom could also be heated). NB! If you want to have dinner at a local restaurant, many places are not open during the week.

Nothing to say, we really liked everything

We stayed in the family bungalow and loved how private and quiet it was. It is very well located, close to the center of Luso. Silvia and Laine are amazing, couldn't do more to make us happy and to make our stay special We asked for a cot for our 3 month son and it was very comfy

Absolutely nothing!! Only regret was not spending time in the famous Luso Thermal Baths ….next time😉

Vila Aurora is quirky and totally lovable accommodation. It is unique and perfectly positioned very close to the amazing Busaco National Park and close to the beautiful cities of Coimbra and Aveiro. Better still, Sylvia is the host. She is as lovable as the breakfasts are adorable😀 Do yourself a favour and step into rural Portugal hospitality.
