Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Stateswe flew in at 10:30 in the morning and I wished we could have gotten into a room sooner than 4 o’clock that afternoon.

New, very spacious and good breakfast. Location is fab, close enough but not right in the chaos. Roof terrace is just wonderful for watching Porto

United StatesWe traveled with our family of four and were super comfortable since the room was spacious, including a kitchen and a living room. The breakfast was excellent, with a lot of options and delicious food. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable in many languages. The view of the center of Porto from the restaurants is amazing.

United KingdomReception didn't always have the expertise expected from the front desk of such a nice hotel. For example, we asked about a beach less than 30 mins away - they suggested one beach as it has three lovely restaurants. One was closed, the other didn't look great (and was Italian) and the one that looked good was fully booked. Reception should have suggesting calling ahead to book, or offered to do that for us.
Location is perfect. Terrace is wonderful. We loved being opposite the old city with the amazing views - you can walk into the city in 20 minutes. So nice to get away from the busy city and chill out on the terrace or in the beautiful and brand new rooms. Just stunning! Also, very close to the old port houses and some lovely relaxed riverside restaurants.

United StatesWhile the location was in a quiet spot, it was a bit far from the center of Porto - took a long time with traffic to get to the main tourist sites. This is not a fault of the hotel. Hotel was great!
Loved the hotel and both their restaurants. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. The spa massage was also good.

AustraliaThere is nothing not to like about the hotel.
Beautifully styled and modern restoration of warehouses. Amazing location, absolutely lovely staff. Porto old town easily walkable with our 9 month old. The room was simply exquisite with amazing views over the Douro. Spa, restaurant and rooftop bar and restaurant. We would have stayed for longer had we known how amazing it was. Staff were just amazing.

Really outstanding service at this tastefully renovated new hotel. The two bedroom suite was incredibly comfortable. Great beds and linens as well as comfortable seating. Personally, we loved the location, giving you incredible views of PORTO on the other side of the river and making afternoon wine, tasting a breeze. It’s a short walk over the bridge into all the action but quite peaceful to come back in the evening. Breakfast was made to order and excellent

United KingdomFor a 5 star hotel, I think the only small let down was breakfast. There's a buffet area with pastries, fresh fruits etc and you can order any egg dishes or pancakes. There didn't seem to be enough staff during peak hours so it was difficult to find someone to place an order with. And the food was just 'ok'. For a hotel of this standard and price and I'd expect to be able to order more 'full dishes' rather than just the buffet. And I'd expect more hot drink & coffee options. But that's just me being a bit picky!
Had a fantastic stay at The Rebello. Staff were very friendly and helpful at check in and I appreciated the little tour they gave when we arrived. Our room had a stunning view of the river and bridge with a comfortable balcony and was very spacious and clean. The complimentary drinks in the minibar had great options - soft drinks, kombucha, beer. Like that their was separate recycling bins in the room but they weren't labelled so didn't know what went in each one! You have to book a slot to use the spa which was no problem at all. The slots are 45 minutes long but we were able to stay a bit longer as no one else had booked to use it. The pool and sauna was really lovely and well designed. Nice to have somewhere peaceful in a busy city. Rooftop area is beautiful! Great place to relax with drinks and enjoy the views and it was never too crowded. Cocktails were lovely but the food was just ok. Nothing that will blow your mind. Loved the location - You're on the other side of the river which we liked. It's a quiet area but an easy 20 minute walk over the bridge to see all the sights and restaurants. There are a few restaurants close by too if you don't want to go all the way into the centre.

United StatesStrange to say but there is a large stone wall blocking the view when you sit out on the small patio part of the room. Really needs to be part window.
Stayed in a river view studio and enjoyed all the comforts of this hotel and spa. It was quiet but convenient for touring the port houses and walks across the bridge. Morning breakfast was spot on! A bit pricey but worth the comfort.

TaiwanI booked two river view studios, one of which is smaller and different from the photos on the booking.com website, which is a shortcoming...
The room is large and comfortable, with a great view. You can see the old town of Porto and Bridge Louis I; the hotel also has its own parking lot, which is very convenient! We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious!

Everything. The service was the best I’ve experienced. Friendly, chatty, nothing any trouble, knowledgeable and offering help and information to improve our stay. Started a week before our visit with highlights of the area, bespoke recommendations and offers to help with bookings. The room and view were outstanding. Beds super comfortable. Large open area with amazing views of the iconic bridge. Didn’t feel like a city break. Spa was a real sanctuary that you had almost to yourself through well considered booking system. Breakfast was delicious. Staff, again amazing. The best pain au chocolats and pastal de nata ever
